Forums - Sony - How will GT5 delay affect Pre-Orders?

Will many people cancel? Will this delay give GT5 more time to rack up some preorders? Well at least now we know why sony did not start advertising this game yet in NA.

I doubt it. If you care enough to preorder you probably don't care about another delay.

Also, people generally just pay a few a bucks for a preorder. Then pay rest when they pick it up.

I'm assuming the delay is just until December.

Well if the delay was to add triple screen support then it will increase pre-orders by 20. I figure there is at least 10 people in the world would buy three HDTV, three PS3, and three copies of GT5 to race triple screen.

Not at all. If you want it so bad as to put a preorder down then you aren't gonna cancel because of a delay.

If you have waited this long and you pre-ordered then you probably don't mind another month or 5.

I don't think so, or atleast there won't be much of a difference, though it sucks that the game got delayed, it's still coming out this year. hopefully this will give Sony more time to advertise(or atleast start)

It will give it time to rack up more pre-orders(specially in NA) as well as marketing the game.

If for some ridiculous reason its delayed till next year then by god I wouldn't care at all if it bombs IMO they brought it to them selves.

I can't speak for everyone else who pre-ordered but... why would I stop my pre order? I only put 10 bucks damn and just because it got delayed doesn't mean I still don't want the game.
