Why would Apple fans want anyone out of the race? I see three unique consoles with three unique skill sets out there and appreciate what they all bring to the table.

I would say Microsoft , but that has nothing to do with me being an Apple fan and everything with being a console gaming fan. I feel that without Xbox, there would be far fewer PC style games, and many more of the sorts of games I like.

I don't know what apple fans thinking about this.
But personally I don't want Sony, M$, or Nintendo out from the console race.

It's the same as saying - Football fans, which North American country do you want to collapse more, US, Canada, or Mexico. There is not really a rivalry between Apple fans and any video game company (despite what certain bad gaming media sites say). If there is an Apple fan who wants a video game company to go under, it is not because they are an Apple fan. They are two independent industries that are not really in competition with each other.

 

While both play games, it is different types of games. iOS games that work are very casual and time based; login, do actions, logout - I would 'at imagine playing a game like this on a video game handheld in the same way I wouldn't imagine playing a game like Mario Kart, Pokemon, or Monster Hunter on an iOS device.

I would be the least affected if MS left the race since I 99% of the time don't care what they have to offer, but I wouldn't WANT any of them out of the race per se. MS brings competition so Sony and Nintendo have to work harder, which is good for me.
