It comes in red and it plays Gamecube games.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I love the Wii's quality variety. Not only does the Wii have a game in many genres, it has the best game in many genres;fighting, 3D platforming, 2D platforming, Puzzle, crazy racers(excitebots, not mariokart), and adventure. If you have a certain niche(concentrated puzzle games for me), there is a good chance the wii will have it, and it'll presumably be a lot of fun. When I considered what console to purchase, the dedication to variety struck me. If you desire to be a well rounded gamer, the wii is a safe choice. But I guess to be fair, it is a shooters market. Talent, Time, and Advertising has largely gone to FPS, TPS over-the-shoulder this gen. The Wii collectively has a decent list in these genre(about to get more soon).

I love backwards compatability. No having to get rid of the gamecube games & the controllers(which were pretty much made for smash bros).

The Wii is different than the other consoles.

Nintendo first party is back!!!! Not since SNES have the big 4 all been on a console(Bongos don't count!). That is about to change. All 4 of Nintendo's players are here this gen, each with great games. And eventually Miyamoto will unleash Pikmin 3. Excellent rebound from the collectivelly underwhelming Gamecube First Party.

Some Wii titles use motion beautifully. Boom Blox Bash Party, Red Steel2, Metroid Prime Trilogy(Original Metroid Prime with good controls FTW).

There are problems with the white box, but there are some sweet, sweet plusses.

the thing I love most about it, it plays GC games and was cheap. thats about it.

I take it you wanted positive responses on the Wii because your thread in the gaming forum turned into a hate festival.Since I'm not all about hate her goes.

I like how my young nephew loves my wii  and that he can play mario kart with his small hands. I like this because he can't play my other consoles with their less intuitive controls.

It's freaking Nintendo. It is therefore flawless in my eyes. I am a shameless Nintendo fanboy and proud of it!

Pretty much everything about it (except lack of big budget 3rd party games).

I love the controls, I think they work great, the dual analog set up I hated so much it almost caused me to lose interest in gaming, I find this set up much more intuitive.

The 1st party titles have been stellar for the most part. Mario especially has been fantastic on the Wii.

I lke the download service, Virtual console is great for downloading old classics I regret selling, or games that I never played to start with ( I never owned the SNES so this was a great way for me to get to play some of the classics that I missed on that system). There are also a handul of unique WiiWare games that are amongst my favorite games on the system.

My favorite part of the Wii is how it has convinced many of my friends and family members who previously had no interest in gaming to give video games a shot and now  they enjoy plaing games with me, and many have decided to buy the system for themselves.

The Endless Oceans, the Mario Galaxies, The Metroid Prime Trilogy, De Blob, Twilight Princess, Mario Kart, Brawl and Red Steel 2, to name a few reasons.

Variety, it has good games in all the genres, its not great if you like just one thing but its very good if you like to mix the types of games you play.
