Weapon wheel? Campaign co-op? Awesome sounding story? Upgradeable weapons (similar to R&C no doubt)?

I was already sold, but there's no doubt now. I guess it's too much to ask for the R2 co-op as well... But I think it's a more than fair trade off. My biggest question now would be the health; I'm assuming we'll see something similar to R2, but I'm hoping for something more like R:FoM.

Viral marketing FTW!!!!!

Shhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone!

@ Griffin:
We would have had a very interesting matchup then.

Oh fuck yeah, coop campaign is back.

Cross X any release date window known yet?

Nope Insomniac hasn't given a release window except for a 2011 release.

Now here's my view on this. Insomniac has Ratchet and Clank All 4 One planned for Fall 2011. I doubt Insomniac and Sony would want to release RAC and Resistacne 3 in the same release window of Fall 2011. At the same time I don't think Sony would want to release R3 in the first 4 Months of 2011 because there's Killzone 3.

That leaves us with either something like a May/June/July Release for Summer Holiday US. Now it's either going to be that or Sony will delay Resistance 3 to 2012 and the reason for that will be "To add more polish to the game" when what they really mean is "there's too many games coming out from us next year so Resistance 3 will be 2012".

That's just my assumptions and guesses. Nothing solid.

Also people James Stevenson from Insomniac also commented that Capelli isn't going to New York just to save his Son. He has other big reasons as to why he needs to go to New York...

Nah....

Resistance 3 is made by Insomniac Games.

All 4 One is by Insomniac Games North Carolina studio.

Yeah I know that Resistance 3 is made by the Insomniac Burbank Studio and All 4 One is made by Insomniac North Carolina but that doesn't change the fact that they're both Insomniac and published by Sony and that both games releasing in the same year within the same timeframe isn't exactly the most ideal thing.

The whole reason they created the new studio was to produce more games while extending the dev time of a title from 2 years to 3. Thats why we didn't get an Insomniac game in 2010.... R3 was worked on probably since the end of R2 in 2008 and IIRC, the NC studio was also set up in 2008...

2011 releases for both titles will happen imo..

omg we play as the slightly fatter nathan hale this time...

the best part of the second game was the co operative campaign.  unless the entire game is set up in a similar fashion then i cant see purchasing thing one.   ive always felt that both games were just poor copies of other games.  the co op was the only unique part about it, a real pity they decided to axe it like that.

Yes...because the first games weapons were stolen from other games...

Resistance has sexy weapons not seen in other games... and that is a biggie. R2, from what I've heard tries to hard to be Halo-ish....but R:FOM was great !

I'm sure this is going to top my favourite PS3 game (which was Resistance 2 btw)

This is great news, bringing back the story co-op is the biggest thing to make me purchase Resistance 3, if they make it offline co-op too. It would be nice if they added the R2 co-op on R3 too, but between story co-op and separate co-op (R2), I'm always story co-op.

Any news on being playable with Playstation Move?

Sounds great. I hope the health system is like the first one, where it regenerates quarterly instead of full.

I hope this game can take away the sour taste that Resistance 2 left me.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.
