Thing is, though, he's talking about the long term. Microsoft won't necessarily be publishing the series forever.

Now as for Lyrikal, problem is he keeps ranting about how he's annoyed with people thinking it'll sell well. He always does this, and rarely gives logical reasoning as to why. That's just trying to give people an attitude, and as such, it's in every right for someone to call him out.

Saying it once is fine (and in a civil manner), but to continuously rant about this stuff in a rude way (De-railing?! For god's sake, GT5 is in the damn pre-order charts, which are indicators on how well a game will do in its opening week, and thus, it's well on-topic) is simply unacceptable.

So long story short, Lyrikal is bringing it on himself.

And oh the only PS3 game that is up there ISN'T a shooter.... cause you know Xbox 360 is a shooter box and PS3 isn't... uh duh... yeah

Just pointing that out because PS3 fans sometimes say it.

Why is this about GT5 now? I comment on Gears of War being a 360 exclusive, and published by MS, so it counts as a big MS franchise for now (just not technically). After the 360, who knows what will happen to Gears.

If what you say about Lyrikal is true, then they are both at fault. One always brings up arguements about GT5 selling poorly, the other always tells people off when people say less then spectacular things about GT5. However I have not really seen Lyrikal making too many GT5 comments, and he is entitled to his opinion.

It's a never ending vicious cycle, and I see CGI comments a lot more frequently, so I just thought I'd stand up for the little guy, and my comment above was about Gears, why is GT5 getting dragged into this? and why is CGI budding into this? It's not even suppose to be about GT5.... every GT comment...man....

In regards to GT5's Americas sales there's one very major factor that people seem to be constantly overlooking, Non-USA sales. God of War 3 has sold around 400k between Canada and Latin America (around 250k-300k Canada. 50k in Brazil). This will be the first GT game getting an official release in South America. I am comfortable in saying GT5 will sell 500k or more in those regions. That would all but guarantee that GT5 tops GT4 in Americas.

For Gears, I understand what you meant. I just think the discussion was about long-term Microsoft franchises.

As for Lyrikal, it's not in this thread, he's done it in previous news sources and threads related to GT5. I have nothing against an opinion, I honestly don't, but the problem is, he voices it in such a rude manner. That's all, man.

Now as for CGI replying to every GT5 comment, well, I'll go back through the thread tomorrow since right now I haven't got the time (duty calls).

For Gears, all I was saying is who cares. People get so hung up over the technical definitions. Maybe they were arguing MS franchises, maybe they were arguing 360 brand exclusives..

As for Lyrikal, if he didn't make any comments about GT5 in this thread, why call him out on it? We were having a discussion about Fable and Gears, and now because you want to call him out on this, it's become a silly GT5 issue, where people can't seem to respect others opinions.

Lots of rude people on VGChartz, calling him out and insulting him on a thread he did nothing wrong on is rude itself :P

I don't care about CGI, let him do what he wants. I was just pointing out that he seems to reply to any GT5 comment that isn't super positive, and mock that person. So don't bother reading through the thread, I'm not going to debate something like this.

So to summarize M$ has very few exclusives, it's users love to PO and bias an already 'fake f-ing thread',  Fable 3 is going to set the all-time sales record for games in a GPOSDS series, dog lovers are usually less sensitive and more loyal than cat lovers, Reach may not be immediately eclipsed as 360 PO champ and GT5's continuing lack of a significant PO increase in America is totally expected and no cause for alarm.  Got it.  Oh and some poor bastards tried to comment on some Wii games.  See ya next week!

My point is, why call him out on an old thread? Derailing a thread for that type of reason is stupid. Bash him in the old thread, not this one.
