Yeah agreed- next year is definately the year of the PS3, unless Sony mess it up or unless the 3DS lineup is killer.

3DS is a handheld and I have no interest in any handhelds. IF I am to EVER buy one, it'd be for God of War : Ghost of Sparta. Yeah it'd be for the sony franchises purely.

I honestly believe Microsoft will be first out with the next console followed by Wii2 and PS4. Very much alike this gen to be honest. A years head start or not, Sony is just making profit, Nintendo is leading in sales and its only natural that they want to keep this generation going as they are on top (I do believe the Wii can get back on the sales charts). I only see Microsoft launching one and thats if Kinect fails which I don't think will happen as the media loves innovative stuff.

I think next generation will actually start later than some people think but regardless, I will be in college by then. Zomfg!

Interesting thought...yet remember that Nintendo reckon this holiday is "vital to the Wii" and to them, and that they are willing to take "drastic measures if it doesn't go to plan"

 

So, it comes down to this Christmas really. If the Wii fails, expect Wii2 soon. If it doesn't, yay/nay depending on your view.
