FFXI did the same thing where it often wouldn't let you walk off ledges and it's just so damn annoying.  I put up with it then but now there's no reason to still have that.  People want to jump, let me jump off ledges and up small hills.  It's so damn annoying to constantly fight the environment.

I can't believe a mainstream Final Fantasy title is reviewing so poorly. What on Earth is happening over at Square-Enix?!

I'm glad the game is getting such negative reviews instead of the generic 7's or the 8's based on potential.  Partly because the game deserves the 4's and less it's getting and partly because this game upset me more than you could possibly imagine.

This was probably the game I looked forward to most this year, I even built a computer just to play it, and then SE just slaps me straight in the face with this mess.  I can only imagine the dog and pony shows the people they outsourced it to must have put on for SE in order to get them to release this mess.  I'm guessing the people that mattered never got to touch the game and were shown only small moments of brilliance.  I'm sure the SE execs thought they had a new gold mine, imagine their surprise when they saw all these reviews!

This is seriously one of the worst games I've ever played, definately one of the worst of the generation (even worse than Lost: Via Domus, at least that one being bad wasn't a surpise) which is sad because it had the potential to be so damn good.  DC Universe Online can't come soon enough.

I actually had a minor interest in the game! Guess I'll continue waiting for Ragnarok Online 2 but that game won't be out before 2056!

You know the worst thing is people blame the wrong person for this.....people are blaming Wada

But I don't understand why, the FFXI team had 5 YEARS to develop this game.......I don't see why people are giving them a free pass and acting like Wada has developed the game with his cat! lol

Through Wada may be responsible for RUSHING the game out.....still many criticisms of this game seem like well rooted decisions that aren't caused by rushing a product.

Though its not all finished, the game will get another chance with the critics through an expansion pack BUT how much higher can a 4/10 go.....this is very shocking.

Actually, the XI team didn't develop the game, the entire thing was outsourced to China.
