This has to be a joke. Lady Gaga will be all but forgotten 10 years from now.

I thought you haters thougth she would be forgotten within a year...

now it's up to 10 years? I guess now I know how the people of the madonna generation felt when older people rejected madonna, and then 10 years later everyone started wearing what madonna would wear...

Yeah whatever. Pop artists come and go but Rock and Roll will never die. The Beatles have been done for about 40 years or so and they get more airplay on the radio than Madonna, Britney, and many other pop artists who were super hot for a few years.

"I'd love to [work with her] in the future," Elton John says in the issue. "She and I come from exactly the same place. She's kind of like the bastard daughter of Elton John. I love her, and I love her ability to write. There's a chance I might do one track with her, but she's so busy and I'm so busy, we can never get together! But her record — it's f---ing amazing. 'Born This Way,' which is the title song, will completely get rid of Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive.' This is the new 'I Will Survive.' That was the gay anthem. This is the new gay anthem. Actually, it's not a gay anthem — it can apply to anybody."

Lady GaGa has been given the title of QUEEN OF POP by forbes magazine, and entertainment weekly

What wrong did the gays to have that pesky Gloria Gaynor's song before and a Lady Gaga's one now as their anthem? Wasn't enough bad that they were persecuted for centuries? Now sir Elton, a gay himself, wants to poot the boot in too?

But most of all, what's that strange fish in the picture?

Leo-J, we just don't give a flying fuck about Lady Gaga. Please, shut up. God.

Do you really think Lady Gaga will have any kind of impact during a time period when over 90% of music downloads are illegal? When albums can't even sell anywhere close to how they did only 10 years ago? The industry is dying, and so is its talent (and rightfully so). We've all told you to try and listen to some good music, but you continually cling to shit. There's nothing left for us to say really. It's just an endless time loop where you continue to believe that you'll somehow change our minds about Lady Gaga and "realize" how talented she is just because you made 101 threads about her instead of only 100.

So yeah, anyways. Please shut up.

EDIT: This post has been moderated. -d1

LMAO

AMEN!!!!!! It's about time someone said it!

People don't like to look like weirdo's

Therefore people won't wear what Lady GAGA wears ten years from now.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

This looks like one of those threads where someone says "yah ps3 is doing great", and people come into explain how it doesn't or that they don't care. It's in Off Topic Discussion, clearly marked as a gaga thread, made by leo-j. I don't see a problem in avoiding it. Of course, it pops up in the most recent topics thing, but there are lots of entries in there that I don't care about so I don't go into them. If I can do it, so can everyone.

I don't really think Lady Gaga fits with the whole Britney/Christina group. She's different. I find she's more like a teched up Blondie. I might describe her as having a sort of has a vibe along the lines of a mash of Madonna and Nirvana. She has an edge, and is probably the biggest thing to hit pop music culture since Tupac Shakur.

I'm totally with Leo-J on this one. Not only is Lady Gaga classically trained at playing piano, but she has a phenomenal voice. Anyone who disagrees is just in denial.

And yeah she has pop songs that might not seem that deep, but her lesser-known songs showcase her songwriting ability.

Sure, most music nowadays is terrible, but anyone who says good music isn't being made anymore is just old-fashioned or a classic rock elitist.. God know there are tons of them.

What about people who think good music is still being made but Lady Gaga isn't the one making it?

As far as new music goes, I see Lady Gaga as being not just at the top of the mountain, but on a tower at the top of the mountain.

From a musical standpoint, she merges vocals and music flawlessly. She is one of the few singers out there who can switch up her style of singing multiple times in a song, and have it sound excellent. Usually when a song does that, they have multiple vocalists. The very composition itself takes talent, the fact that Lady Gaga can deliver it live is fairly amazing.

Can't wait to hear Lady Gaga's new stuff! I hope it lives up to the expectations!

Also, Madonna is still the Queen of Pop! :P
