Also, Secret Rings was pretty good too. The Rivals games were decent, and Mario and Sonic is fun.
Sonic games haven't been all that bad lately. Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog sucked monkey ass, but that's no reason to punish the other games in the series. |
The recent terrible quality of Sega games is mostly due to Sammy, Sega's parent company. You'll notice that, right about when Sammy bought Sega, the quality of their games took a sharp nose-dive. Heck, Sega even apologized for Sonic 2006, because Sammy rushed it out the door in a buggy, unfinished state and forced them to add all that "Sonic Kills a GOD!" BS to boot.
So, yep. I think Nintendo really does need to buy Sega. Imagine a Miyamoto-developed Sonic game...
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
