Forums - Nintendo - IT BEGINS - Nintendo Patent Shows Wii Vitality Sensor Game Example

I want someone to make a shooter where the aiming gets less stable if your pulse increases. There's so many awesome possibilities if this device is accurate enough. Imagine an RPG that detects what characters you like the most and adapts the story accordingly.

Now that's an interesting idea. A sniping game. Your aim is determined by your breath.

The only problem is the ridiculous pulse monitor plastic dongle you have to wear on your finger.

Would be nice to see Nintendo integrate that, and the wiimote tech, in a glove of some sort or description!!!

(hint - Powerglove V.2 please Ninty)

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I wonder if there's a minigame with online leaderboard for holding your breath.

I can hold for 3m40s... It's not that much, but I'm proud of myself u_u

The Wii Vitality Sensor will sell more than kinect /move put together

You just wish it would. ;) I don't see why anyone would want that but that is just me.

The primary purpose of the red Chinese wedding dress was not to keep out people, who could scale the Jimmy Choo wedding couture shoes

Great! My only concern about it is, whether we will be ble to use the nunchuck and the VS at the same time or not. Not being able to use the nunchuck would limit the possibilities, as in making a Eternal Darkness game impossible.

Wow, the technique behind this sounds amazing. Infrared light going through the fingertip... damn, that sounds futuristic. Soon we are all playing with microchips under our skin. :D

However, what I fear is that it can't really implemented in much genres. I can't really imagine games for it other than some horror games and relaxing software. (which alone would already be cool but not enough) Also, I can't imagine this extending the lifcycle of the Wii much longer. By the time the Vitality Senser gets released, PS4 & Xbox 720 could already be in the starting blocks. And then's the problem of support... Even Wiimotion Plus doesn't have much games yet which support it. Heck, not even Nintendo itself supports it much. Recent examples: SMG2, Wii Party.

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
