I played the beta, it wasn't very good. But I didn't like FFXI either, Everquest 1, WoW, or MMO's in general.

But,
that doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint. Especially when it's selling and the games aren't directly related.

And when they already have created new IP's anyways.

Yeah, I'm actually worried about how hard it's going to be to cancel my account!

And I had the CE preordered too and seriously considered cancelling it after playing the beta but decided to go ahead with it since I already had it completely payed for.  Ugh, first Collector's Edition I've bought for a game in at least five years and it's that piece of garbage.  The CE bonuses weren't even that good considering I already had one of the security dongles and the speed boost boots worked for about a minute a day.

Don't buy the collectors edition unless it's oregan trail 2 in the wooden box!

I haven't played FF 1, or 2.

But, atleast from the beta. 3 is still worse... though relative to its time. FFXIV is the worst imo.

Uhhhh no. Final Fantasy XIII was very good. XIV is the first main series title I have ever disliked. I don't hate it, but IMO it doesn't deserve the FF name.

Phew...okay I'm back. I was just "less talking" with patapon but we're done now.

 

OT: Hopefully they'll drop the monthly fee. Then I would buy it when it releases on PS3.

Yup, even cancelling your account is confusing.

Have you even played the game?  There's no excuse for how awful it is.

I understand MMO's are large projects and I'm fine with the first few months having issues, but all the problems FFXIV has cannot be fixed in a month and are pretty inexcusable.

I'll say it again, there's no reason we should be punished for SE rushing out the game.
