Should Microsoft do more franchising?

Hey I was wondering today as I hear the next Pokemon movie is set to be released next summer. I realize that many toy stores I go to their are Sonic action figures, Mario remote control cars, Pokemon cards and toys. Yes the odd Halo figurine. But I started thinking, yah I think I created a thread about this a few years ago but thought it would be worth a rehash.

Wouldn't it be good for Microsoft to expand its franchises into other media's more.

I think Microsoft has the right idea with Halo, books , action figures and even manga shorts. But what about franchises like Banjo or VivaPinata. I thought Viva Pinata was great when Microsoft signed on for the television show. But couldn't Microsoft expand its franchises like Conker , Age Of Empires, Mech Assualt , Banjo-Kazooie into other forms of media.

I mean I can only imagine a Age Of Empires TCG, or a 3D animated tv series based on Banjo. Or how about a line of models and action figures based on Mech Assualt?

Who thinks it would be totally awsome for Microsoft to expand its franchises further?
