The Sacrifice update have gone live for PC. Valve has slashed the price of both L4D games in celebration. Great time to pick up the game if you haven't already. I can always use more fresh meat :D

  • L4D2 for Mac released. L4D1 coming soon.
  • DLC is free for PC/OSX, 560 MS points on x360
  • L4D2: $6.49 ; L4D2 and L4D1: $10

I've played it to death ont he 360 but at that price... plus I got to try out L4d 2 with 3 monitors on the PC

It's funny that the price of both Left4Dead 1 and 2 is a little more than the cost of the new DLC on the 360.

I opted for Left4Dead 2 since I've already played a lot of the first game through the free weekends. For ~$6.50 you can't go wrong.

...Though here comes the HUGE download. . .

Is anyone getting some error message when trying to purchase this? A friend of mine can't get past the check out.

I was at a decent download speed a few hours after my last post here, but it was at a horrible crawl for a while.

It'll usually be like that during a big sale or event so don't panic, just give it some time to clear up.

I don't think Valve like the fact they have to charge on 360 (MS' rules) but then again I get feeling they're not very attached to the 360 userbase anyway, and getting all that money can't be THAT bad.

I'll be buying the DLC for L4D2.

Some games do have free DLC. Something that seems to be more and more obscure though.

Regardless, I don't see why it has to be $7 considering its free on the PC.

Valve caters to an audience that complains about paying for anything.

Very impressed with this new DLC, much better than The Passing. I'd pay money for it!
