Remember 2007-2009? I remember, and it was very annoying to hear about games I was waiting for so long, to get delayed even more (GT5,(tho I ain't waiting for it)/Killzone 2/God of war 3/Metal Gear solid 4/etc..)

In recent week LBP2 got delayed and today DC universe online..Now that I try to remember any games delayed on Xbox 360/Wii..Well Gears of war 3 was delayed to holidays 2011.. Which means it will sell much more than it would had on april.

Well its good thing Sony gives developers much time for their games, but if you think how much better games would sell on holidays..And is it fair that they lie to gamers?I think Hiedo Kojima commented something about this.But yea why should I care since what matters is that game is good. But I have lost much trust on Sony because almost all games that I have been waiting, gets delayed.

Delayed games on Wii?I don't know single one. Xbox 360?some. Ps3?Almost half exclusives.

some delays help ps3 games, hopefully some titles in q1/q2 2010 will get delayed to q4.

a lot of multiplatforms get delayed.

Metroid and Sin and punishment got delayed before.

Gears3 anyone ?

yeah a few more than on other systems it seems. I know some 360 exclusives that got delayed but also a few Wii exclusives.

Even though I could rattle out a list of Wii/360 games that have been delayed, I shan't because I do think that this generation there have been a disproportionately high number of delays on the PS3

I would argue that the PS3 being harder to program for is only a very small part of the reason for this.

1st parties generally seem to need to announce games earlier, because they have more reason to try to convince gamers to buy their console

Sony have a huge 1st party, and they announce games a long way before release = lots of delays

MS have a small 1st party, and they announce games a long way before release = few delays delays

Nintendo have a huge 1st party, and they announce games very shortly before release = few delays

Delays are good for a game, especially something like LBP2, which is undoubtedly a coding nightmare with all of its content. Hell, I still expect there to be patches for the game in its first week to fix some issues, but if they can iron out the more serious ones before release, I don't mind it being delayed a couple of weeks to even 2 months.

Wasn't Golden Sun and another Nintendo game or two recently delayed??? 

Some delays like LBP are acceptable, like just 2 or 3 months, after the holiday season and giving the developers just a bit more extra time to tweek it. however some delays like GT5 are unacceptable, its been 5 years in development i think, delayed for at least 1 year i think.

I can't believe this.  Nintendo delays games so much that people used to call theim "Intend....No".  Remember that whole "! delayed game can eventually be good/a bad game is bad forever" quote?  Nintendo said that.
