The rest of you list is pretty coherent, though. And the fact that you rate District Nine over Blade Runner speaks for itself. |
American Beauty is a good movie; while both have artistic settings, American Beauty has the advantage of a well executed story, characters who the viewer will care about, MUCH better acting, and overall more interesting. Bladerunner comes off as being very pretentious all the way through; whereas American Beauty just comes off that way during the blowing bag scene.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I used to spend hours upon hours looking at the clouds moving, trees' branches and leaves in a windy day, looking down at the streets when I am on a roof of a high building , sea waves crashing against rocks, studying my fingerprints and get blown away. I watched the movie for the first time 3 months ago and I could totally relate to Ricky's lines in the movie and to that blowing bag scene lol
. The movie is rich in every aspect, it's a beautiful masterpiece!
