None of the channels cost money

if you get 500 points for doing this you'll have to buy a NES game or a cheap Wiiware game (possibly Master System games too, not sure if they are 500 or 600 points)

alternately if you have a visa card or something, pay £7 or equivalent Euros to get 1000 more points and buy World of Goo

As for the other channels, as said they are all free... though even when it costs nothing I wouldn't bother with the "Today and Tomorrow Channel" as it's absolutely pointless (unless you are one of those who follows their horoscope and that kinda thing)
