hey if i remember right thats from pre beta (could be worng). there are a few mine carts buried too, there was a time when you could not get rid of them. and boats could only be sen by the player who placed them. so to get rid of them (or rather stop seeing them) we buried them.

If you did, it didn't help. Booted up, went into Firefox ... crapped out during login. Minecraft.exe, no dice. IE, nope; different computer, nope. 
Suggestion: Brokedown Palace 
Good luck with troubleshooting though. And did you peek at what I did in your skylight?
[edit: Tested going into another survival server, and it worked, so I don't think it's me.]

sorry about the tardyness of this reply. i worked an unexpected 2 extra hours this morning, so i was a bit beat and put off monkeying with the server till now. rebooted it works.
the only pattern i can see right now in the faults is the time command was used just before someone tried to log in, and after that no one could... so use it sparingly until i figure out if its actually the cause.
on the bridges... i thought the were going to go through width wise not length wise......

Speaking of which, is that a problem? Considering the current extent of the tunnels putting it in another orientation is out of the question. If that's a dealbreaker let me know ASAP please.

I've nearly got the tunnel to my city dug completely all the way back to the spawn. Currently, I'm working on dealing with having run into water, since I didn't quite do the tunnel deep enough to not have to fiddle with it.

Uh, do you remember all those posts I made about underwater building? One way or another, you've got to fill the space your tunnel/walls will ocupy, then empty the tunnel. Sand, wool, my technique ... pick your poison.
Or if you're only concerned with, say, water coming from the ceiling, the best way is to go up to the seafloor and do it from that side. As long as you've got reeds, it's much easier IMO than having to deal with the flooding pushing you back and all that.
If you're only dealing with the occasional leak, then never mind all that, you just have to man up and deal with it.

Big things are afoot for our server's rail systems. Within the next couple days, the system running directly into my city will be up and running. And hopefully FinalFan and I can work out a way to connect the two main systems appropriately. It's gonna be fun. =)
