I get a kick out of the hundreds of negative Kinect posts there are here.  It really does scare some of you doesn't it?

Lots and lots of these will be sold no matter what kind of FOD there is here.  And millions of people will be saying look ma, no controller, come Nov....!!!

Last thing I want is a hybrid of wii controls in my core games...I have no idea what Sony is doing with the Move but I ain;'t interested.

When I set up the Wii emulator on my PC, the first thing I did was map the Wii controls to a Xbox 360 PC pad. Games like Mario Galaxy and No more heroes play sooooo much better with a normal controller. For rail shooters and Boom Blox type of games, yeah the Wii controller is great...but Kinect can be as good for that stuff too.

This kind of crazy jumping stuff can stay on Kinect...I prolly won't play it when alone but when freinds are over? For sure...

The fact is Kinect will probably sell really well no matter if actually works well or not, but to me it's already pretty clear that it won't be suitable for any core games wich is a shame. I might pick it up later for some local multiplayer fun and the cool interface and voice control, though i hope it will get some proper PC support aswell.

you 360 only gamers keep trying to turn kinect into something that it isn't... sure it may sell millions, but guess what? It's still not innovative, like you guys want people to think it is.

I am not trying to turn the Kinect into anything.  I'm simply not jumping on to the hate wagon like 98% of you folk here.  There is a difference.  Besides who's to say it won't be innovative?  You?  Have you even given the thing a try yet?  I am sure that the 2nd and 3rd gen games for Kinect will be impressive.

innovative in the sense that the technology has already been presented to the mainstream gaming market...

kinect has yet to show anything superior to what the eyetoy has been doing on the PS2, and what the PS EYE is doing or will be doing in the future on the ps3 combined with the PS move.

Microsoft WILL advertise it like it's a completely new experience never before seen in the technology world, but as a gamer, I know for a fact kinect isn't new technology, but more advanced technology on an add on device that did very well on the PS2, but not so well on the ps3 install base.

I backed off on halo reach, when everyone if not most of all 360 only owners were shouting it as the best looking game on a console, and the most technically advanved game on a console, and now you guys do it again with KINECT. It will sell millions, but it is NOT impressive, or a revolution in technology as microsoft and 360 gamers continue to try and make people believe.

Even if what you said was true (it isn't), that gives a majority of posters here the right to spread FOD?  

its the same thing as fanboys spewing dribble about ps3 games being more advanced & having better graphics...

what ever happened to just playing games for fun, and I dont care about kinect not being "new technology"
