since when does post numbers count for anything? Look how many posts I have....not very many...but guess how long I've been on this site looking at the sales every week and reading the forums. Would you believe it if I said ever since January of 2007? (about three months after the ps3 launched yea that long ago)

I'm not saying I agree with what he said but post count has nothing to do with his experience and I know I for one Idon't want my opinion to be downgraded or considered less just because I don't have very many posts because I've been here before alot of the active members of this site have.

I've been here you just haven't been able to see me but it doesnt mean I haven't been keeping up with the sales debates and figures. I'm sorry if I've taken this a bit to personally but post count is by no means a measurement of how experienced you are or how much you know.

I could just as easily argue that certain members of this site that have thousands of posts have no clue what they're talking about.

I don't get why everyone loves to see Wii fail. Wii was beginning to bring gaming to the masses and make gaming seem "cool" and not nerdy. With the HD consoles on top, the nerd image will only be reinforced :(

Halo 3 after 2 weeks:  4,597,840,     Halo Reach after 2 weeks:  4,867,876,

Difference after 1 weeks was: 234,527 (6.1%),  Difference  after 2 weeks is:  270,036 (5.87%)

Why should we care about the "masses" or that some random people think gaming is "nerdy"? I don't get why you would consider HD-consoles as nerdy.

He's just saying it's more similar to popular PS3/360 games, as opposed to the popular Wii games. I'm not sure why you're acting like it's insulting to the PS3/360, as if every game on those consoles are superior.

Anyway, Civ 5 beat by FFIV, meh. Can't even take the top PC title for the week. At least it's on the chart, I guess!

Wii still slightly under pre-price cut 2009 levels, should hang around here until the games roll around. So, another month or so until it escalates. And call me crazy, but I still bet on it easily taking the month of November (Nintendo holiday boost, DKC).

Also, if these Halo Reach numbers keep up, I can't see it passing Halo 3, unfortunately. Still should manage 10 million though, hopefully

FFIV is pretty awesome. But have you even played Civ 5 yourself?! (not that I've played FFXIV either, but, you know...)

Well I'm not much of a betting man, plus I'd rather not make myself look like a fool if I'm wrong :P. It would be impossible to measure the numbers anyway, since we can't really corelate the exact relationship between the usual holiday boost from the DKC effect itself.

But anyway, the main reason I say Zelda won't move as much hardware is because it'll likely be released during a slow period, whereas DKC will be released during the holiday season. Also, DKC is very similar to NSMB, which single handedly reinvigorated Wii sales up to today with the help of a price cut. Zelda will be very big with the core Wii gamer, but DKC will have more of an appeal for the expanded audience, as well as the core. I'm just looking at the evidence. I think Zelda will have more Galaxy like sales (7-8 million) and DKC will sell more similar to NSMB (10-12 million).
