You are wrong, it's not a generic beatemup, i wouldn't even call it a beat em up. The game is a platform action/adventure with great and varied gameplay . The fighting is NOT the games' focus , this is not a pure action game .It's more of an Uncharted clone with more fighting than shooting and more platforming.

The game is an Edge 8 , in the purest sense. Plus metacritic sucks, there's only 2-3 reviews that matter for each game , IMO.

Damn, I hate Metacritic.  1up gives the game a B .  Meta translates that to an 83%.  Either way, on Tuesday, I'll be playing the hell out of this game.  That's all that matters.

Played a few chapters today.  I'm loving this game soooooo much.  I wish I'd gotten it from Best Buy, though.  They have exclusive "Half Naked Trip" DLC.  Damn, I hate retail exclusive DLC.  Who wins?  Not a damn soul.  There's different dlc for Gamestop, Best Buy, and some other store (and I didn't order from ANY of them).  Not cool, man.  Not cool.

I bought this and Castlevania and I thought that Enslaved was going to have to wait until I finished Castlevania, man was I wrong. Castlevania is nothing like I expected it so after like 2 hours in, I stopped playing and picked up Enslaved and I'm so happy I did. Enslaved is a really good game and the acting is pretty good. It reminds me of a mix of Uncharted's platforming with a little bit of Heavenly Sword's gameplay, really solid game.
