Under-rated: Assassin's Creed. I know it was repetitive as hell but still I think it deserved better than mid-70's even though I still consider mid-70's a good score. I would have given it more like low-mid 80's.

Agreed on MW2 but disagree on Assassin's Creed. The core gameplay elements and tech of that game showed promise but as a game it wasn't that great. A mid 70's (which is still a good score in my mind. Heck I've enjoyed games in 30's) score was quite representative of it as a game. I'd like to add though that I felt AC2 was overlooked by too many gamers. Sure it has sold very well and got great reviews (and is my second fav. game this gen) but it is rarely ever brought up in conversation and I think many people missed out on it after experiencing AC1.

To all forum goers: If you haven't played AC1/AC2 go do it... and buy Darksiders while you're at it :)

P.S. I wish they'd bring Johnny Bravo back.

Overrated:

  • Half-Life 2 (not a bad game, but certainly not as good as many says it is)
  • Fallout 3 (got tedious)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (how can they fuck up the story like that?! ;_;)
Underrated:
  • Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (awesome action game, one of the best on PS3!)
  • Prince of Persia (the reboot from 2008, that game was amazing!)
  • Flower (anything below 100 is unacceptable, RAWR!)

Overrated: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Burnout Paradise, Mass Effect

Underrated: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, Fallout 3

Yeah its no AAA game for sure but it was definitely original and a lot of fun. And I'm with you, I consider anything 70's or higher good and even 50's-60's are playable (but not necessarily good). So I guess its a pretty fair review.

And I agree with you, I wish they'd bring Johnny Bravo back too!

Overrated: Half-Life

I know this is all opinions but.............WHAT?!! One of the most innovative games of all time (certainly one of the most innovative FPS titles of all time), overrated?  D:

It is certainly is not a terrible game, far from it, though I have not been able to adjust to it. I would give it a rating of 90% at best.

3D Fighters, and Sim Racing games in general are vastly overrated, in my opinion.

The same goes for (Get your torches n' pitchforks ready, kids. You're not gonna like what I'm about to say.) most JRPG's of this generation, excluding only the two Mario & Luigi games on the DS, Super Paper Mario, Muramasa & the Chrono Trigger remake. (Haven't played Demons Souls, though.)

As for the underrated... Prime 2, I guess. Can't think of anything else, at the moment.

Overrated: Halos, GTA 4, MW2, Killzone 2, God of War games

Underrated: Red Steel 2, Socom Confrontation, Dead Space(deserves a 9.4 average), 3d Dot Game Heroes

overrated: god of war 3, halo 2, and 3, gears of war, cod 6, cod 5, assasins creed, resistance 2,

underrated: killzone 2, battlefield: bad company, psychonauts, dragon age: origins, mass effect 1 and 2, mgs4, halo: reach.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Overrated: MGS4, GTA4 and RE5

A lot of hate for modern warfare 2
