Hi

I'm trying to decide what games to get this holiday season and Warhawk is on my list.

Before buying I just wanted to know if any of you could tell me how large the online community is.  Since it online only i don't want to get screwed and have it turn out that there are only a few people on at a time.

 Also, do you think Call of Duty 4 is worth it if i'm planning to get Warhawk?  I only have so much time to play in a day.

COD4 has a larger online community right now and since i got COD4 I haven't even played Warhawk at all.

However, the community will get bigger when the Warhawk expansion comes out (Omega Dawn). But for now, CoD 4 and UT3 will have a bigger online community.

But, there are plenty of people playing Warhawk.

I don't really care which community is larger, just that Warhawk actually has one that is still active. I'm excited for that expansion pack too.

Don't get CoD4, the game is unpatched and unplayable most of the time. I have the game and its a joke most of the time, games ending all the time, along with lots of other errors, plus the online has no games list, no clan options, no mute options.

No dedicated servers, lots of lag, the servers on the weekend get so much traffic that no one can find a game, and once they do it is filled with errors and most likely it will end early.

 Same, I've been completely addicted to CoD recently, but I rekon I'll get back to Warhawk when the expansion pack comes out

I'm hoping The Orange Box will eventually get new Portal maps. I played through the Xbox360 version and was craving more at the end!

Yes both games are popular- Both games are very different too, they fill all sorts of needs. Warhawk is incredibly intense and takes a pretty decent amount of skill, and effort, and then some teamwork really shows beneficial. In COD4.. its more lenient in all these, but that just makes the intensity level increase more in certain sitautions.. just all the ways you can die or kill in warhawk.. having the challenge of a lifetime or trying to live in a furious dogfight.. but then fighting on ground and then in COD4... waiting for that one guy to just pop his **** head out so you can blow him away!!! Or waiting for the squad to come around the corner, knowing youre pretty much sacrificing yourself as your squad will be able to get all kills with only 1 death.. just lots more intensity and reliance.. while warhawk is just swarming teamwork intensity, not much so reliance, but reliance on yourself to support your team and them to either serve as a distraction or buffer zone lol.. but thats just 1 perspective on both games.. theyre solid all around.. though.. Warhawk.. with this new expansion coming.. ahahah I play Warhawk Much more.. I just like its kind of intensity and options and challenge.. always watching your back/front/side to side/ below and even above.... and cloaked, either fighting on ground or taking into the skies, just more enjoyable for me.. and also- its an Extremely balanced game lol.

 Ouch man youve got some bad luck. Ive never had a problem with COD4 online, except for a few hosts ending the game early but that happens everywhere. Warhawks online community is still pretty big, the dedicated servers are always full for me.
