If they go to prison, it will be for invasion of privacy.  In all honesty, they could be charged with manslaughter (at least in Georgia, they could).  If you commit a crime like stealing a pencil and in the process, somebody falls in front of a car and gets killed, that minor crime lead to somebody's death.  In this case, it would be pretty hard to prove, though.

*edit* and I highly doubt there will be any jail time.  I'm sure those that produced the video are already out on bond and will face some sort of probation when this finally goes to court.  We'll never hear what happens to them or what their sentence is, though.  The media cares about the shock of this story.  Nothing more.  When those two go before the judge, this whole circus will be nothing but a memory.  The whole thing is a pointless waste.

You make a damn good point.  I'd fake my death and laugh at everybody who thought I died.  Then, I'd come back and everybody would be so happy to see me that they'd forget I was gay!  Then I'd say "You all just been Punk'd!"

A human life was lost because people like those two think they can play with other people's sexuality, privacy and dignity. The sentence isn't severe enough. They should be made an example out of, so every stupid frat boy who think they're awesome because they get all the chicks and that gays are just garbage disposals, would never even try anything similar.

No. A human life gets lost when someone is killed. This guy killed HIMSELF, he committed suicide. He died because we wanted it that way.

Everyone is down at some point in their life. But you don't see people committing suicide for everything. People involved in accidents, people who's family get killed, or a fatal desease, people who are kidnapped or raped... all of these are problems (and these are real issues, not something stupid like a video of you having sex) that a lot of people have faced, and they found the strenght and the courage to live. If you fucking kill yourself, well good bye to you sir. It's your choice, and i dont feel sorry for you. If you decided to quit, that's your thing.

What his roommates did was despicable and they deserve to get screwed over hard for it (any kind of jail time will suffice, IMO, but five years is a bit much).
