I'm interested in how 15 Million games in total can be sold from Launch games in a Month.

15 / 4 = 3.75 gamers each.  Even the current DS has a higher attach ratio than that.

If they hit the 4 million hardware mark, they will almost certainly top the 15 million software mark.

Aren't these all shipment numbers anyway?

Indeed they are...which makes it all the more plausible given that retail will buy as much as they can stock.  And I know places like Gamestop will put stock in their employee bathroom if they need the space.

If the launch price is $300 then I would go with no. Personally that is $150 dollars too over priced for my tastes. I like that it has higher graphics but since I don't really like 3D and all there isn't anything that this handheld is doing that I can't find better anywhere else.

I think their ability to ship a certain number of games and consoles will probably be unrelated to how much you think the product is worth.

Care to elaborate on a portable system that does better gyroscopic input, better 3D pictures, better 3D movies, better augmented reality, better dual screen gaming, better touch screen gaming and just overall better quality gaming?

If you would learn to read. I said I DO NOT GIVE A RATS BUTT about 3D. So I will not pay for this. and for 300 bucks I could get a much better more powerful system.

Then turn off the 3D and enjoy some awesome games.

So why should I have to pay 150 for a useless feature that degrades everything? 3D is an over priced degrading feature. It makes movies look like shit, and I doubt this DS will do anything remotely better with 3D.

Again, referrring to your original post:

Your personal verdict on how much the hardware is worth is goign to have almost nothing to do with whether or not Nintendo meets their shipment expectations.

it's funny some people here think the 3DS appeals to more people than the iphone does.. realize not even the iphone sold 4 million its first month...

iPhone doesn't have the Japan market.

OT: don't think it can happen only because there won't be enough units produced.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
