Hmmm... I fail to see the problem, but I haven't really played through the original yet.
I always thought the big draw of Bioware games was the story.

I see what you're saying... but I don't really care. I also would like to play the final product before saying, "the mighty have fallen."
Mass Effect 2 lost much of the RPG feel and put much more emphasis on being a shooter. But it still retained the fantastic story and its an awesome game.
Basically, I have no reason to doubt Bioware just yet.

It will never play like that and it doesn't look like that!
What else do you expect from EA?
Bioware will be liquidated in a few years, I guarantee you.

It's sad to see they took the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance route with Dragon Age. It's a pity though, Dragon Age: Origins gameplay combined both the best aspects of Baldur's Gate and KOTOR's mechanics.
Now this Dark Alliance-like fast-paced dumbed down mechanic seems a bit shallow in comparison to the original.
Oh well.

Damn am I the only so mega hyped about Dragon Age II?
The gameplay is fuckin AWESOME!!! BioWare was right when they said "When players press a button, we want players to see something awesome all the time". THat's what I'm seeing people. And you gotta realise that the player was up against a bunch of weak Darkspawn grunts. Wait until you see some other fights against a wider variety of enemies. It's gonna be absolutely great!
The gameplay is much more fluid, graphics have been increased significantly and femal Hawke rules :D!!
