What is the most overrated game of all time ??????

FF7. I'm not saying it's bad, it was pretty good, but the amount of worship it gets seems like the second coming of Christ, in videogame form.

Of the ones I played, i'd say GT is probably the most overrated. It's a great series of games, but really not worth waiting years for when the competition is just about as good.

oh and the most overrated thing is HD graphics (firstly cause they really aren't HD in 90% of games).

1. I'm fairly sure the vast majority of GT fans out there have bought and played other racing games since GT4 (and besides GT5P).

2. Actually, I think the opposite is true: sub HD graphics is overrated in today's world and on today's tv's.

OT: For me it must be Pac-Man. Man, I have tried through the years but never managed to finish more that one level. Don't like it.

umm

MW2 it was Ultra Mega Over Hype since the same had a mediocre very Short Single player and a Broken Multiplayer yet because it was so over hyped it sold 18 million units simply because of the hype around it.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

1. the push in PS3 hardware upon release of GT5 should tell us something regarding that statement. If people waited till now to buy their PS3, they likely didn't play much racing in the mean time either. (yes this is an assumption)

2. Either I misunderstood you, or you said what I meant but you said it more clearly (in my parenthesis).

1. Well, even if it pushes a lot of hardware, that doesn't mean they have not played stuff on other hardware. If you'd mean that they are waiting for GT5 to buy a PS3 even though there are other great games on the platform, I agree.

2. No, I mean lower resolution games, known as sub HD, being presented as enough is overrating them. Higher resolution games, known as HD (even if they are not) are the better way to present your game on today's displays. That enough 'sub HD' games sold better than many 'HD games' probably has nothing to do with the resolution.

in vgc forums? kingdom hearts and MGS4

Mass Effect 2. Once you get past the graphics and Martin Sheen voicing the Elusive Man, then all you have is a bare bones prequel for Mass Effect 3, which is one long recruitment mission with no cool bosses, which Mass Effect had in The Thorian, Benezia, and Saren. All we got is the Harbinger who periodically possessed a Collector and a Reaper inspired by Terminator 2.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is the runner up. It regressed from the concepts introduced in Vice City and San Andreas. Namely, GTA 4 had no player owned businesses, no garages to save your car leaving your saved car's drivers side doors at the mercy of cabbies, no gang wars, and no changing the physique of your character. The most damning thing is the suckass NYC soundtrack...Give me the Vice City soundtrack anyday of the week over Radio Broker and whatever garbage the devs put in because people listen to it in NYC.

Omg... I don't think anyone's said Halo yet.

It's so freaking overrated, it's not THAT good, but it sends out propogandic signals from the disc or something cause...
