KH is not an RPG style game. You only play as sora. Even though it is called an RPG.

Its like a platformer. Trust me get kingdom hearts for $19.99 you will enjoy it.

Okay Leo, if you MUST make me shatter you dreams -- my girlfriend has Kingdom Hearts 1 (at her parent's house -- the PS2 isn't hers). I tried it, and absolutely loathed it. Seriously, from my perspective, it's one of the worst games I've ever played, and there is no chance I want it, at all. It represents precisely the sort of game I dislike.

I think you just need to give up on me liking the games you like, Leo. It's absolutely fine if you disagree with me -- really, like what you want -- but I think you're thinking here: "If he just tried it, he'd like what I like!" but I don't, and I won't. I honestly, genuinely, seriously and strongly dislike that style of game. Just let it go, and work with me here. Let's celebrate, I have a PS3 now, we aren't "enemies!" :p
