Forums - Gaming - I hate to say this but don't buy the new Spidey game

As a huge Spider-man fan it  pains me to give my op not to buy this game. The game is full of bugs that could easily ruin an attepmt at a trophy and drive you crazy. I was about to fight Electro and out of the blue the game froze it also happend when I fought Doc Ock. There are time when enemies I have killed get stuck in walls and did not fade away making it impossible for me to progress, In Spider-man 2099 while fighting hobgoblin the camera just started freaking out. I got my platinum trophy last night so I will never touch it again, for all that shit talking Bobby does you would think that activision games would be flawless. If I ever see him i'm punching him in the throat..a waste of 60 bucks.

These are my own issues with the game, if you are planning on getting this game I advise you to wait for a price drop.

I had problems with the 360 version locking up as well.  Probably locked up a total of  3 times through completion of the game.  I wouldn't necessarily say not to purchase it though. Due to the frequent save points in the game, I was never really forced to backtrack much.  But it was annoying.  Hopefully they patch it soon and fix the problems because it was a fun game.

Why would anyone buy video games based on television, movies, comic books, or anime if it will most likely be shit.

It really wasn't a bad game.  Playing as each Spiderman changed the gameplay dramatically and each one had it's own visual style.  It's pretty cool.  It's just hard to believe that quality control would let a game release with lock up bugs that occur by simply progressing through the game.  Hopefully they patch the problem.

Sounds like the exact same problems Web of Shadows suffered from. Nice to know that Activision stepped up their quality control years later.

Never had those issues with the Wii version of Web of  Shadows... never played the HD versions are oyur statements based on reviews of the HD game?

I'd agree with you for 98.9943% of the time but i really enjoyed Batman Arkham Asylum and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and anticipating their sequals.
