Anyway kinect has already (1 month before release !!!!!) surpassed move in the eb games/gamestop charts and is really closing in on amazon (with some kinect games making an appearence in the top-100 , no move standalone game has ever appeared in the amazon top-100,  there and the 250 GB xbox 360 also beginning to clim up the charts) .Move or the ps3 move bundle were NOWHERE to be seen in any charts , such a long time before launch (mid-August). This is going to be an onslaught !!!

25 million users... maybe 1% ? so they would make 6.25 million per ad.

Very rarely(prolly never) is xbox live booked on CPC basis (cost per click). This is because you can not buy anything on xbox live. CPC is meant for booking vacations, buying computers online...stuff you can buy immediatly.

The advertising on xbox live is more for brand name association and user engagement. For example, they will show you a wal mart add saying "get the latest games" and having a picture of Fallout Vegas. You can't buy that game on XBL but they are hoping that the brainwashing of the ad sticks with you and that few months down the road you will go to Wal mart for all of your game purchases... It is booked based on impressions. So showing the ad 1000 times (uniqe people usually) generates them about 20 bucks these days.
