oh god Square-enix is going to be pissed  all the support they are putting onto the PSP at the moment. Better be backwards compatible.

It will be interesting to see how they intend to compete on the market, strong competition and more established hand-held brands with strong support, two of which are ridding a crest of fashion at the moment. Sony are going to need more than more power and a second analogue stick.

make it better than the iphone 4, and I'll buy it..

You'd pay $500-700 for a portable?

Why, there are $200 phones better than the iPhone 4

Give 2 examples of $200 phones with better graphical power than the iPhone4.

aka meaning don't pull another PSP Go and go all Digital Distribution. Stick with UMD or some other form of disc to avoid piracy or whatever.

Actually, UMD are like floppy disks. Just harder. You know, harder floppy.

PSP2 should go SD. Disc spinning drains battery.

flash memory carts is better for handhelds because of lower power usage and and lower latency. And it's pretty clear UMD did nothing to curb piracy. Down with optical media (on handhelds).

So you're saying the PSP2 will flop harder than the PSP? :/

You just did :)

If the PSP sells only 40 mill lifetime, but has great SW support and a lot less piracy, i'd say it's been a bigger success.

The likely hood of this is thin though :/

I didn't know that. So is that why Nintendo uses Cartridges?

Well as long as it's not DD and there's physical media, then I'm all good. I just don't want it to be DD only.
