Square Enix needs to take this opportunity to make a KH Collection and FF Collection.

It won't cost them much and it won't take years to make.

If they fuckin do that, I'm be one happy gamer.

Even with BC, you'd be playing these in SD without in-game XMB or Trophies and you'd still be using a crappy virtual PS2 memory card.

And these games aren't necessarily straight ports.  They're reworking textures and other art assets for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and on top of that they're completely reframing the games. 

I want BC in all PS3s as much as the next guy.  I won't buy a PS3 without it, and being able to get rid of this noisy, hot, aging 60gb for a Slim with BC would be fantastic, but these ports can still be awesome when done right.

Well if sony added PS2 upscaling to PS2 play back we would be ok right??.

and if the devs are adding something i dont mind, such as upgrading the textures and adding effects etc, and not just doing soming a PC emu could do ages ago i wouldnt mind.

but this MK and POP HD remakes seem just like that, old games stratched to fit on a HD screen...

Word is they're redoing the sprites for Motal Kombat, going so far as to find the old actors and get news ones to re-record footage for the animations.

That hasn't been confirmed, but I think it's true.  It'd be pretty silly to just released upscaled versions of these games, especially since they were already on the Midway Collection along with like ten other games years ago.  They have to be offering more than jsut three upscaled games at that price.
