so ioi was right when he predicted Halo Reach would only boost 360 hardware sales by about 100k WorldWide!!

in your face to whoever doesn't believe ioi's predictions!!

he created this website, so he knows better than anyone else.....

And another thing, most of that extra 100 k were LE Halo Reach bundles!!

whoever was predicting 400k-500k WW hardware sales for 360 because of Halo Reach was just plain nuts

same thing with GT5

it won't push as much hardware as people think, this is already too late in the generation,

use common sense people!!

DS never ceases to amaze me. This thing could sell 200 million when it's all said and done, maybe more. I'm curious to see how it sells once 3DS is released.

360 recieved quite a boost from Halo: Reach, pretty much expected. Will recieve another from Kinect. But it'll be interesting to see where it stablises when the dust settles.

PS3 barely inched ahead of Wii despite Move launch and Wii having nothing compelling. I think it's safe to say Sony simply needs more hit games if they want to do well in sales, not hardware addons and the 28th PS3 console skew/bundle.

Wii, meh what can you say? Pretty mediocre sales, but then again it currently has mediocre releases for the past 9 months. I don't really count Metroid Other M, since I knew from day one the game would not more hardware.

Nintendo just has to weather another month or so of these types of sales until Kirby is released, which should fire up sales at least a little bit. But it won't recieve a MAJOR hardware boost until the holiday season kicks in and DKC is released. The console has the potential to reach its 2009 sales with the strong lineup this holiday.

Oh and as for Halo Reach... hot damn! It will be interesting to see how its legs are. It looks like a sweet game. I want to get either this or Black Ops, but I can't decide which.

Do you honestly believe that? There's no NSMBWii/Price cut this year and not even Nintendo believes that's possible.

but why wouldn't Nintendo cut the price of the Wii now?

to me it would make total sense for Nintendo to drop the price of the Wii right now...

If Nintendo cuts the price of the Wii a few weeks before Kinect launches,

it would just KILL all the momentum Kinect has.....

so it would do two things for Nintendo:

1. it would boost Wii hardware numbers greatly

2. it would destroy the Kinect launch, it would take away all momentum from Kinect

If I were Nintendo, I would drop the price of the Wii and soon

So 124K for Sports Champs. ioi estimated 140K Move enabled households. Do you think 16K Move households without Sports Champs is a bit on the high side or a bit on the low side?

Remembering of course that the Move starter pack outside of USA (Americas?) doesn't include Sports Champs.

I doubt a price cut would do much considering it's already at mass market price.. the console that would benefit the most from a price cut is the console that isn't at mass market price right now($199)

but if Nintendo drops the price of the Wii to $ 150, parents will see a $150 Wii versus a $300 Kinect bundle, and which one do you think they will buy?

especially when everyone is still budget conscious now....

ZOMFG! XB360 up more than 100% WoW in Japan! MS should ditch the rest of the world and focus on the Land of the Rising Sun!!!

Good PS3 WW performance, considering that Move hasn't launched yet in Japan.

Wii'll be back.  O-)

I would say that's fine.  Some people probably didn't want Wii Sports, even if it is more accurate or whatever the case is.  That seems fine to me.

excellent ps3 sales!! move sales are more awesome than i thought they would be as well

it's the future of handheld
