Forums - Sony - Can an American PS3 owner buy from the European PSN?

And not just any PS3 owner.  I'm talking about ME!  I created a European PSN account about two weeks ago and the content that the European gamers have was pretty impressive.  Today, I couldn't take it anymore.  I had to have Front Mission 3 on my PSP!  So, when I tried to download the game, my PS3 said I didn't have enough money in my account.  That's fine.  I input my credit card info.

Strangest thing:  My account gets charged $1 (instead of European space money) but I can't add any more money.  Any time I try to add more, I get an "error" followed by some meaningless number.  Is there anyway for me to add the funds?  If I do add the money, will my European game play on my American PSP?

You can buy PSN cards online (I'm from Brazil, so this is how I do).

I recommend eletronicfirst.com, cuz it's even cheaper than buying from PSN.

"PlayStation Network Card  £20

Our Price £17.99"

:]

Sony knows how awesome d21lewis is.. that combined with the awesomeness of Front Mission 3 would implode the earth.. thus Sony saved the world..

I was hoping to avoid buying a PSN card but I guess I have no choice.

^^^So the US cards only work in the US?  Glad I didn't grab one!!  I debating getting one of those UK cards but in all honesty, I only want that one PS1 game for now.  Paying $33 for a $20 card and only using $5 of that......I guess I'll just stick with Valkyria Chronicles 2 and FF Tactics for my strategy gaming fix.

well, you can still buy more games with the rest ?

buying Euro/UK PSN card is the safest way to do it.  some Asian gamers tried to use europay (or something else) to add money to their accounts, sony ended up wiping out all their account balances.

also, keep in mind, once you sync your PSP to your european PSN account, your PSP is then linked to that account.  all your US PSN contents won't work anymore unless you sync it to the US PSN account again.

US PSN Cards work on US PS Store and UK ones work with the UK ones,

we get everything imported here so i can buy everything on every store

No, it's a £20 card, which is $30, and it's a £5 game, which is $8, get your conversions right man!

Conversions?  What do I look like?  I'm no mathematologist!!!
