I didn't really like the demo on 360. It looks worse than the original (or at least my memory of the original). I plan to buy it anyway but it's not near the top of my list.

im just buying it for co-op and beacuse its a stress reliever. i suggest that you dont play the mp(terror is reality) its utter crap. capcom have outdone themselves!

i got the game 3 days ago, and its on ps3. i love the game, but i just feel that capcom could have ten times better and that they made no effort.
first thing it doesnt fix the problems of the original, which were mainly for me the controls and the time, and the lack of combos. i would have liked possible combos for weapons, so the game doesnt feel repetitive, everytime i use a weapon 5 times i feel that i have to change it. also the 72 hour mode didnt let me enjoy the core experience of the game to its full extent, which is killing zombies and just having fun. if i do that il miss missions, and even though that encourages you to replay the game i find it annoying. and lastely i find the controls to have some bugs, and that sometimes they dont respond that well.
2nd thing: i would have liked it if the campaign was diffrent, instead of the army coming here i would have liked it if chuck found it a resistance group which specializes in killing zombies, he would have joined them, and hence it would have given more variety in missions, such as possibly defending your headquarters from zombies with offer people, or possibly doing mass cordinated attacks. dont get me wrong i loved the campaign, but they could have added a bit to it.
and finally i feel that capcom put no effort into the game. they removed a mode and added co-op, im thankful for the co-op but they should have kept the 7 day mode which was great. so until now they removed a mode, added a mode, and didnt make the campaign that diffrent. combining weapons is great!! it actually makes the game feel crazy even after you played the original.
now the multiplayer mode(terror is reality) its absolute crap, after 2-3 times of play theyl be fun, but after that it gets boring, now to mension the problems it has. it consists of 4 mini games. the first one you have a sort of a tractor and you have to grind zombies and shoot in a container. the "tractor" control is terrible, and the shooting frustrates you as you have to align the pipe where the blood goes out in a perfect straight 90 degree line so it will go inside. the 2nd one is fun, you have a hat with horns and you have to throw zombies in a sort of a balance, its fun but after a while you dont want to play it anymore. the 3rd one is you have a sort of a spear, and zombies fall down from the sky, and you have to catch them as they fall. the last one which is the funnest one, has you ride motorcycles with blades and the goal is to take zombies, its very fun but after 3 times of play you wont want to play it anymore.
point is the game needs more modes, and lots of more variety.
id give the game an 8 mainly because i overlooked many of its flaws because its fun. but if i was a reviewer id give it a 7.
BUT you should definatly buy the game, its very fun, and a big stress reliever, i had high hopes for the game, i though it would be the ultimate zombie game, but the lack of modes make it fail.
now as soon as you buy the game pm me so we can play co-op :P

Definate pass, I took a chance with the first one and hated it for the same blandness.

i bought it today and only capcom could ruin a co-op game i mean whats the point of having a co-op charactor?? why cant it be the same charactor for single player and co-op
| johnglen said: It has really lost the appeal of part 1. The main protagonist was more likeable in part 1 and the "OMG look at all these zombies !!!!" cool factor is gone. The bossess are even more annoying , and with real stragety to beat them, than the first game which makes DR2 obnoxious . The loading times are horrendous. I used to love capcom but after lost planet 2 (another atrocity) and DR2 i am beginning to change my mind. |
Bolded: what do you mean? More strategy on bosses is needed in DR2, but is that a bad thing?
