It looks fantastic, easily my most aniticpated movie release this year! ^_^

And I loved the 5th movie. I found it to be great how it really focused on the characters of the story, and not just the magical hijinks. Draco Malfoy finally grew as a character in Half-Blood Prince, and for once I actually cared about him haha. ^_^

Still, for now Goblet of Fire is probably my favorite, followed by Half-Blood Prince. If I was to make a list, it'd probably go something like this:

1. Goblet of Fire
2. Half-Blood Prince
3. Order of the Phoenix
4. Prisoner of Azkaban
5. Sorcerer's Stone
6. Chamber of Secrets

I dunno the last movie was VERY VERY disappointing for me, Half Blood Prince was my favorite book out of all of them and the movie just wasn't good enough.

On the other hand the 5th film was awesome and the 5th book (Order of the phoenix) was my least favorite....but somehow they made the movie better than the book....the book waffled too much, I think the editing was superb in the movie, there was a real flow to the story.

So the last 2 HP movies have been a mixed bag for me.

Emma Watson, that's all I have to say sir. lol

Dude your profile says your 29, Emma's like a way younger!

And she is no Megan Fox (the only good thing about Transformer movies apart from GRPPHXZZZZZ)

Club-thumb.

That is all.

Anyways, I definitely agree the 6th movie left a lot to be desired. I hope this last hurrah doesn't disappoint!

i agree with this..the 5th book was pretty bad but the movie did a good job of making the most of it.

the 6th book was amazing and i was sorely disappointed in the movie. in a large part i feel there was just too much content remove which is why i have higher hopes for the 7th book since it's split over 2 movies.

also, emma just gets hotter and hotter.  damn.

Im seriously hoping that splitting the film into two parts does the book justice, as they have been getting progressively worse. I thought 5 and 6 were dreadful.

Also curious as to whether JKR is going to allow Warner Brothers to supplement the series in the way Star Wars has been by George Lucas. I really want to see some form of media (either a film or a video game) where Umbridge gets whats coming to her. I know she ended up in Azkaban but I want to see that actually happen rather than JKR just stating it.

The only movie that dissapointed me was the 6th. It focused to much on romance and changed some bits for some weird reasons. Like the private lessons with Dumbledore, I thought it was pretty important but apparently directors prefered to show teen hormones instead.

But this looks epic and the fact that it's in two parts is great. At least there won't be major stuff cut out. Can't wait and I'll be watching it in 3D.

Judging from every trailer, I can safely say that this movie is going to be the most accurated to the book by far. Each movie has cut entire chapters out before, but the fact that they're including each and every one of them is a huge step up. And Harry glancing out of the mirror fragment brings a tear to my eye because it looks exactly like the chapter 2 portrait.

It's OK to reread the book before it, because almost every single detail will be there since there is about no fluff in the Deathly Hallows they can cut. I think the movie ends at the middle or the end of Chapter 23 "The Wandmaker" in the book, so read up to there.

I don't remember a lot of this book. Good trailer though, I hope it's way better than 5 and 6. 5 and 6 were good at the end but before that...ehh, nothing too special. Also 5 had no centaurs thrashing Umbridge into trees like in the book. :( 7 better have Harry blasting Umbridge in the head.

Soriku, whatever you do, do NOT read the 7th book again. The fact that you barely remember anything is good - you know how movies skip and change information around, ultimately making a lot of fans give the "meh" reaction.

This way you'll be able to appreciate it better! Afterwards you can go back and read the book again if you want. =P

Anyways, I'm in the same boat as you. I mean hell, the book came out like 5 years ago or something. >.>

lol don't worry, I've only read through the series once and don't know if I'll even read through it again.

Also I agree with darth...6th was my favorite book but the movie did it injustice. The movie was too silly/romantic. That one joke about the dentist with Hermione and Slughorn I think it was was so bad. The romance itself was fine (just like in the book) but there was too much IMO...

Also kitler how was 5 a bad book? 5 was great.

it's not that book 5 was bad.  i love all the books but 5 was the lowpoint to me.  harry was too angsty.  the prophecy was just weird.  and mostly, the book was too long for what happened.  the book would have been better will a bit more editing.

Hrm... you really think that Goblet is worse than Chamber of Secrets or The Sorcerer's Stone? Even Daniel Radcliffe can't watch those two movies anymore.

They were good for their time, but the actors have improved (dramatically) as have the effects (eww Dobby...). I found that once Chris Columbus gave up the directing job, the movies improved drastically. I agree that Prisoner of Azkaban is good, but the rise of Lord Voldemort sequence still gives me the shivers. Much more than a bald werewolf anyways.
