Forums - Sony - 3D Dot Game Heroes update adds Sackboy, plus more.

Today Atlus has released a patch that has just made the already GoTY (Across all platforms) for 2010 better.

Alright, I just made that part up. Here is the real start to the article.

A new update has launched today for Atlus’ 3D Dot Game Heroes, the company’s announced. The update includes over fifty fan and staff created heroes — one of them being LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy – the ability to carry over certain swords in New Game+ and completion time adjustments to the Dash Circuit mini-game. The update also contains a bug fix that restores the loading art’s random appearances.

The update is out now, so if you’re up to save Dotnia as Sackboy or any of the other forty-nine inclusions, go right ahead.

Not sure what the changes are for the Dash Race minigame though, but I never beat Monaco Circuit, so I will be going back to that.

I also like that the swords that trasfer to new game plus are the ones you buy with small blocks. Makes getting the All Swords Trophy less of a pain.

I should really get this game,  I dont really have anything else to play right now.

About how long is the game itself?

I played a bit of Block Defense, 1 of the 2 Dash Races and 1 round of Block Out minigames and a single playthrough took me around 25 hours or so. Without the minigames I would say an easy 15-20 hours.

If you like to get a lot of stuff, like complete the bestiary, get trophies for beating bosses without getting hit, collect stronger swords, upgrade weapons, find heart containers, find magic containers, etc... I think it would easily last between 30-40 hours at least.

It is well worth it for the $25-30 it costs right now. Great bang for your buck.

Not to mention it would give Silicon Studios a reason to get working on 3DDGH2, which would have the dungeon creator that was unfortunately cut from 3DDGH.

Anyways, it is still pretty incredible that this game was started by just one man and took only a total of 10 months to get from the starting stages of development to ultimately retail shelves.

It costs $25-30 over there?!

IT'S STILL £30 HERE AND THERE'S VERY LIMITED STOCK EVERYWHERE IS SOLD OUT IT'S NOT FAIR!!!

... But if I do find it I'll buy it, although just wondering, since this is Atlus, does it mean the EU version won't get the update, since it was Southpeak that published it here?

Also, if someone can find me a brand new copy from a US store that does international shipping that will come to less than $40-45 altogether, please tell me! I'll happily import it, I've never actually seen a copy on store shelves here, I did see a place where it was meant to be in GAME once, and that was sold out at £44.99 a pop (Seriously GAME... SERIOUSLY?!), and everywhere online, that's sold out, has the price between £29.99-£39.99, so yeah.

Sales are incredibly low in EU due to nobody ordering copies? -__-

I had a feeling of that too.

I also hope that Amazon sales show a nice bump at least on sales for this week. The Gold Box deal for 3DDGH was sold out within the first 10 minutes. I wonder how many they had for $19.99.

...on a side note, I've yet to get it.

There's just too many games, and not nearly enough money.

This is a nice surprise. I'm not sure when I'll be able to download the update, but knowing that it's there is definitely making the urge to replay the game stronger.

how can anyone complain about the price? this game should be full price , because its much more fun than any of the other overrated games.

not to mention the enormous content and replayability in the game.

i think the price  is reasonable!
