Also, next gen may not be here for a while and may not even use physical storage medium...but do share the any info on sonys brand new "32X bluray drive" which they are going to use in the PS4. Give us the scoop...

Please don't mention 32X, it gives me bad memories...

Mine still runs. Plays Virtu Fighter like butter :)

saying sony will have a 32x repeat is a joke

but what i can say is that Kinect is doing a Sega CD and we all know how that went

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

You guys are funny and quite uneducated...

It wasn't a reference to a 32X sega console but the speed of the bluray drive. PS3 has installs cause it has a 2X bluray drive. To avoid installs in the future, it will have to have a higher speed bluray...hence a 32X bluray comment.

Fastest bluray drive is 12X today...so I was just poking fun of the post I quoted which seems to know everything about next gen before it even starts, and asking him to share the scoop about PS4 bluray drive which won't have installs.

Sheesh...

Microsoft is spending hundreds of millions on Kinect's launch, did Sega do with that the Sega CD?  They're also getting a lot of support and will have games with mass market appeal.  Those things alone set it way apart from Sega CD.

Dont start this fight please...nothing here has anything to do with Sega CD or 32X... People just can't read and comprehend things.

If Kinect is the Sega CD does that make Move the 3DO?

Another ridiculous claim from the people who brought you "Nobody plays shooters on PC anymore".

Anyway, this thread should be archived, it will be funny to look at it when the specs for the 360 successor will be released.

if we go digital next gen im out. I cant stand downloading things as is, takes forever. I would much rather go to a store pick it up do a install (if needed) and play, probably take me 1hr depending on install size and traffic conditions. Just a pain.

OT-yea blu ray is dead. lol.

EVERY GAMERS WORST NIGHTMARE...THE TANGLING CABLES MONSTER!

       Coffee is for closers!

Wow, they're on an insulting spree.

I wonder what they're going to use for the next Xbox if not Blu-ray... Sure, there are some alternatives but they're definitely not going for net only any time soon so they'll need a physical medium. I think Blu-ray and its improved variants would be the obvious choice.
