So much for the Move being in high demand.

Well...

It did put PS3 ahead of the Wii.

So it could have been worse, and been in 3rd place

Man, if I were you, I would just ignore such posts. I mean, little software, and no advertising. It's delusional to even suggest such things.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Hopefully Move works out better for Sony in the long run. They did seem to have made a big deal out of it and are putting a lot of resources in it. Like all casual SW, FW means nothing, but...

Second week should tell more story.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

How does selling 50,000 more units on launch week = selling the same?

It's statistically the same.

I don't care if its "statistically" the same.

The FACTS are that Reach opened 50k higher than its predecessor, moved an aditional 60k units of hardware REGARDLESS of who to, and that people who claimed Reach wouldnt push 360 sales were wrong.

And this isn't counting America's. Do you guys really think there will be only a 50k difference between Reach and Halo 3 there?

Halo: Reach won't sell more than 1M in EMEAA. Everyone who wants Halo: Reach there has already got it week one.

Tease.

Whoa..Microsoft really can play it cards well.

Move did....move... some hardware but Sony must little dissapointed..

Well, now we wait for holidays!

Well overall given the console sales that have been made thus far it is quite arguable that the majority of consoles sold in response to 'any game' are probably going to people who already own 'a current console'. Like for instance it is quite probable that a lot of people who bought a PS3 'for Uncharted 2' probably already own an Xbox 360 or Wii.

Tease.

But thats my rational. Care to explain why you feel Halo 3 sales and Reach sales are different by 5% when the userbase has grown by leaps and bounds? Id argue, as i just did, that its because those users who bought Halo 3, bought Reach. And you?

It's possible that many 360 owners who already have Halo 3 will find the game enough to fill their needs (the rare job of a 4p split-screen online shooter), and won't find it worth it to drop $60 on another Halo. Or, perhaps the rise of CoD has stolen some previous fans.

I myself know quite a few people in this position, and depending on how large this group is, it may or may not leave enough room for new buyers to bring the number to where it is now.

As for Wii sales... yeah. EMEAA has not been friendly to the console this year, hm

Yeah definitely looks more like a PSN game too

Could this be Sony's worst selling first-party game ever?

It just might be. I think its also the worst reviewed 1st party game this gen.

Move may not have been heavily marketed as Reach, but they were plenty of adverts and lot of word of mouth for this device.

Why would they be disappointed?

They shouldn't. You can't be disappointed when you had low expectations to start with.
