Recently, there has been a trend towards the disclosure of information by governments in regard to UFOs. France, Belgium and Brazil are the largest examples. In fact Belgium was the location of the best documented UFO sighting in history (see link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgian_UFO_wave ).
The information revealed by these governments acknowledge that UFOs are real and that they are not any of the following:
Balloons
Ultralight aircraft
Unmanned aerial vehicles
Any type of known aircraft
Laser projections or holograms
Mirages or other meteorological phenomenon
So what could they be? I personally believe they are alien craft either manned directly or controlled remotely. In either case the technology needed to create such craft is not of this world.
The most famous case of possible alien visitation on Earth is the Roswell incident. At the peak of nuclear testing in the area following World War II, on July 8, 1947 newspapers reported that a 'flying disc' had crashed on a local rancher's property. The next day the papers clarified that it was a weather balloon. For thirty years the incident was forgotten until people began coming forward saying that the disc was in fact an alien craft and that bodies were found inside, all of which had been covered up by the American government.
Many people with solid reputations claim this to be true. The biggest proponent is Edgar Mitchell, a former astronaut, nobel peace prize nominee and congressional medal of freedom awardee. Here is what he has to say in one of his many interviews on the subject: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoMENlah-v4&feature=player_embedded
Given the nature of the American government I could see this as totally being plausible. Moreover, it would make sense that alien lifeforms would have interest in the human development of nuclear weapons and fission. It is an astonishing achievement that would not go unnoticed. So the way I see it aliens are coming to observe and research humans very much like human go in to the Congo to observe and research Gorilla colonies. The aliens choose not to interfere or cause harm. They only want to see. But with so many craft flying around it was inevitable one would crash, especially in a nuclear hotspot like New Mexico of the 1940s.
If this is the reality, like I believe it to be, the implications are far reaching. The government would of course try to back engineer the alien technology, and they might even try to make direct contact with the aliens. This is actually quite frightening, that humanity's line of communication with an alien species would be through the American government whose priorities are clearly not the concern of the overall well being of humanity.
If aliens are out there all of humanity should be included in the reality of the situation because it is important and relevant to all of us. Humanity is already a spacefaring species. It is our right to join the other spacefaring races and learn from them so that we can avoid making mistakes that could lead to our possible demise (destruction of resources, war, disease). Plus it would unify humans as a species and give us a reason to progress in the right direction rather than war among ourselves.
To do this the United States government needs to come forward. As do the governments of China and Russia. It is very likely with their nuclear testing that they have cover ups of their own.
I think aliens are real. I think the world needs to know.
What do you think? Even if you are a skeptic do you think the world's governments should come forward given that they do in fact have proof of alien life?
Please discuss!
