To make it work will they use a quest system like in an open world RPG?
Anyhow, it could be my third TR game after TR II, if they make a really good game.

I doubt it will be as good as the downloadable one that game just kicks so much ass.

As long as I'm controlling Lara's sexy ass in a traditional 3rd person way, I'm buying it.
Thinking about it it could work. Have Lara setup a base at the start on the island and give her the option to explore the whole island from the start to find the artifacts she needs and uncover the secrets of the island plus multiple extras and side quests... and a secret area with Godzilla instead of the T-Rex...
You know, that demo of Just Cause 2 was pretty impressive (I never did buy the real game, though.) If Tomb Raider can ape the size and scope of that game while retaining a tight narrative and atmosphere, I can see it being a success. I really can. But then, I'm the guy that bought Legend three times (PS2, 360, PSP), Anniversary twice (PS2, 360), and Underworld twice (360, 360--it broke!). You can't really expect me to be neutral in this one. I don't have a heart full of neutrality.

this :D, though I guess it isn't technically tomb raider... it's lara croft!
Though I'm excited for this one, no matter which way it is >_>

You just made me realize how dumb I was playing those games with a mouse instead of a joystick! O-)
good one badgenome
also underworld sold 1.97m on the PS3 and 360 400,000 on the wii and some on the PC i guess
its not massive sales but really they should just make a TR that works perfectly, looks beautiful with great atmosphere and lots of good treasures to find
she's a tomb raider not a one woman army fighting a war, they better have some isolation times
