Another day, another Nintendo 3DS roumor. This time from an “anonymous retail source”.
According to VGTribune, a “retail source” got in contact with their site and discussed Nintendo’s launch schedule for the coming months.
“Based on our discussions with Nintendo management . . . the target dates are in April for the Americas.”
Though the site didn’t divulge in just what those ” . . .” left out, the source did go on to say;
For Japan, it is anyone’s guess but [a launch this year is] unlikely since it will ruin the mood in the other regions (specifically in Americas and Europe) where Nintendo generates more revenue than Japan.”
Personally I doubt that Nintendo are worried too much about the “mood”, but they are right about something; the launch date is indeed anyone’s guess.
Nintendo have previously committed to a “before March” release date. Earlier this month, a roumor from Twitter pegged the launch to be in November, whereas another predicted the launch date of Paper Mario 3DS. According to the Trademark Office, Nintendo are officially allowed to promote their Nintendo 3DS brand on September 30 in Australia.
Nintendo are to release launch details on September 29.
What do you guys think about this one?
