Ow please.. the Appstore has also amazing deals:

Secret of Monkey Island SE: 99 cent

Monkey Island 2 SE: 99 cent

get them on your iphone/ipod touch now!

And playing games on an iPhone is awesome, as everyone knows...

You would know that it is if you only bought Tilt to Live

Yup everyone knows iPhone games are awesome... that's why those games are considered competition for the 3DS and PSP... there is some serious business there.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

It is ignorant to claim that PC gaming has some sort of pricing advantage when you can buy or sell used games with the free market only on consoles. It's like a poor man bragging to a rich man about the change in his can. Anyone with an ebay account can play every new game on consoles, MAKE MONEY while doing so, and they also don't have to wait a year after the game is launched to play it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

You missed the point.

You can find great deals on all platforms.

I think you missed Shio's point-- PC is the only viable gaming platform and any other deals are as insignificant as you are if you don't absolutely agree with him.

I think we all got that point the first billion times he made it.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

One more thing, the "30 games for 30 dollars" bullshit is usually 2 decent games that try to appeal to your nostalga, then 28 shitty games you've never heard of that aren't worth 30 cents. I've never seen one of those deals that looked worth 30 dollars, in most cases I'd rather pay 30 dollars than have to play most of that shit.

If it seems too good to be true, it is.

This topic is PC propoganda spin.

Sure, there are good deals to be had with DLC, but they usually aren't the flashy ones.

The best deal going on right now, is at gog.com they just started selling Planescape Torment for 10 bucks. Now a month ago, you would pay 60 dollars for that disc, so that is a true amazing PC deal.

There are great deals on consoles right now too. Walmart is giving a 20 dollar gift card with Fallout:New Vegas preorders, and The Sabeteur can be had for 8 dollars used. Madworld is around 10 dollars new, and the price on ICO has dropped in the used market since the remakes were announced.

PC has fine deals, but just as good and potentially better deals can be found on the free used market for any console, any day.

The problem with buying used games is that they can be utterly fucked and all warranties are void on used secondhand products and I highly doubt that whomever sells you a broken (or damaged) game is going to pay you back. There's also the matter of stores such as Gamestop screwing you over, they sold me a used copy of Valkyria Chronicles for 470NOK when the retail for a brand new one was 300NOK... I bought it used because it was virtually impossible to find anywhere in this town. And the disc is damaged somehow and the game freezes, I contacted Sega about it but they said it was out of their hands since I bought it used and Gamestop would have to fix it. They didn't, because I hadn't paid extra for a warranty slip, which costs around 6$ or so. I don't buy used games (or other products) at all any more, I mostly buy them from England at Platinum prices.

Here in Norway, a new console game usually costs around 600NOK while a new PC game is between 350 and 400NOK or possibly less. Prices aside; the PC remains the best platform for the more advanced gamer with all sorts of customization, mods, hardware possibilities and of course the fact that the games themselves are often a lot more deep and complex (and infinitely better in many respects). Try playing Civilization IV on the PC and then strain through a session of Civ on PS3 or 360. PC versions of console games are even better sometimes, such as Mass Effect 2 of Fable.

Don't get me wrong, I like to play on consoles but I simply love playing on the PC (Off to play Mount & Blade again! ).

Steam is an excellent place to get deals. Im currently enjoying Dead Rising 2 for $40 U.S.D. when it would have cost me more than twice that price had I bought it in the shops. I also bought Civ 5 for not much more. Between these two games I have logged over 60 hours of play over the last few weeks, definately value for money.

My current PC costs twice as much as an Xbox 360 or PS3 but I have made back the difference in cost with cheaper games with more deals to come and the added bonus of my PC also being a damn good movie / music player and web browser.

Im currently on a PC gaming binge and I for one am satisfied.

wasn't Civ 5 horribly priced on Steam (i.e. a rip off) over there? or was it only in Australia and not in NZ?

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

I picked and chose the 30 games myself and the store gave me a 30 day warranty... and yes there were some bs games but I chose the best ones... like Splinter Cell games, Ghost Recon etc etc

I rest my case... deals are everywhere... not just for your PC

Tilt to Live is better than all your precious Pokemon games put together.... And there's more Character depth. But I guess you wouldn't know that.. Because you haven't bought the game.
