Forums - General - Let me in trailer. I really want to see this movie

It looks so much like the original that it strikes me as totally unnecessary.

That is one completely unnecessary remake. The movie is not even 3 years old!

I hate Hollywood.

I agree. When I first saw the trailer I was like "WTF, I saw this no more than a year ago!", not to mention the  movie is in English already so they can't use that as an excuse like done with Ring, Grudge, Quarantine, etc...

Never heard of the so called first one. They never showed it in America,I don't think.

It is called "Let the Right One In". It has also been available on netflix instant view for quite a while now.

I don't have netflix and they must have  directly released it to video in America with no advertising/Why I have never heard of it,until now. Nobody can ruin my excitement for this movie,I tell you. lol

Nobody wants to ruin it for you, we just feel that a remake 2 years after release is incredibly unnecessary and continues to show how unoriginal Hollywood has become.

"Let the Right One In" was a straight to DVD/BluRay because it is a Norwegian movie dubbed to English. Also worth mentioning is that it won many awards and was nominated for many others. I think this remake will have a real tough time trying to emulate this.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I think I typoed. I am pretty sure the movie is Swedish.

It is also based off a book from 2004.

So 2004 you get the book. 2008 you get the movie. 2010 you get the remake.

All in one decade.

Maybe we'll get a sequel before 2014.
