I've also seen plenty of people saying that it worked very well.  So one person's opinion is just that.

Think you could give me the source to a few people that say that it worked very well? I'd love to read what they think :)

Why does everyone have parking cones on their heads?

I can only assume some form of college hazing.

But even that article contains lots of criticism as well:

"Lag is present in Kinect Sports, as it is in all of the titles we see. [...] Successfully leaping over a hurdle doesn't seem quite as easy as it should be, and it's interesting to note that dodging obstacles isn't quite as easy as we expected it would be either."

"However, what's curious about the game is that the 1:1 mapping between human motion and character movement on-screen isn't quite as smooth as I remember it. At gamescom last year the on-screen Avatar was uncannily mapped to your actions. Here the skeletal structure seems somewhat more rigid, almost as though the number of control points has been dialled back." (very good observation by the way: both the number of control points and the lag have indeed gotten much worse compared to the hardware that was used when "Project Natal" was first presented one year ago)

"All pretty good fun but, like Kinect Sports, you often feel as though you're jumping or ducking too late, and that you need to "buffer up" your commands in advance. You can blame lag for this"

"the game with perhaps the least Kinect technology in direct evidence during gameplay is probably going to be the biggest hit"

"While I "interfaced" with it easily enough, poor old Johnny Minkley completely failed to get the motion sensor's attention, leading to three reboots and even a quick glance at the "NUI" (natural user interface, apparently) debug tool"

"Joy Ride also highlights something else of interest that needs work: menu navigation. [...] It feels clunky and unresponsive, and you also find your hand having to rest in odd, uncomfortable positions simply to activate a menu option."

^^Yeah, those are all software issues.  You couldn't even sit while using Kinect at that point :)  Now you can.

Haters go hate,as some one said others tried it out and had positive experiences, and some tried it out and had not so positive experiences.to each his own.but there will always be those who you can please because that is not they agenda.

It's not like people who agree more with the negative reviewers are off-topic...

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Thanks for the two articles you guys :)

My biggest fears came true - too much lag and too little accuracy. Snacka om sågning haha.

I hope casuals still buy into this device. And maybe it'll even find a niche among some core games like that Ubisoft game which has this cool looking space-under-sea-world with jellyfishes and stuff.

I'm waiting for a new developer kit allowing 4 local multiplayer if MS do that perhaps I will buy Kinect.

Ouch. I find it had to believe MS would release it in that state. Although, it's not like they haven't done it before.

The original poster has a signature declaring MSG4 "the best game of this generation" and goes out of the way to find an article, NOT WRITTEN IN ENGLISH AND IN NEED OF TRANSLATING, to come up with something to post here.  What is obvious about the internet is individuals post opinions for their own agenda, and console partisans will hunt these down to score points on boards like this.  VGChartz seems particularly set up to drawing in partisans who treat console sales like some sort of game they have to have their console of choice win.

Anyhow, will need to wait and see about Kinect and how it performs in real life setting.  I personally wouldn't preorder it, unless I was comfortable with it.  I hold the same opinion of Move, by the way.
