Are you one of those people gagging for an HD Wii? According to publisher Take-Two, the wait is almost over, since Sony has us covered!

"What Sony and Microsoft have really done with Kinect and Move, especially Move, is provide a bridge for guys that are used to playing the Wii system with the wand and bringing them over to a HD system," says CEO Ben Feder. "The PS3 with Move, in my view, is the Wii HD system. I think maybe mom isn't playing, but the kids are graduating, and Microsoft and Sony have both provided a bridge to bring them over."

I disagree with that statement, mostly for the fact that people wanted an HD Wii to see better looking versions of Nintendo franchises. Acting like Move meets the demand for an HD Wii represents a sad attitude I've noticed in the industry -- the attitude that seems to think copying hardware is enough. 

Software is what is important, and when Move gets experiences that match Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda or even Kirby's Epic Yarn, then we can call it the Wii HD.

Next up, Carnival Games HD.

Plus, what kids did they manage to hook on the Wii themselves? They really think they are just going to leach off supposed kids drifting away?

Great, got beaten by someone using it as a bashing excuse. I tried to at least stay somewhat neutral here.

You really think the Wii is known among 'the casuals' beause of Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda? Wii is known for Wii Sports and Wii Fit and that's it.

I think R&C Infamous LBP etc. are already as good as what Ninty has, dont care what the sales are. The Move is just a little something extra to me. I agree with Tyig, the core Ninty games dont sell as well as the "fitness" ones. except for 2d Mario

I think you -- like Pacther and Take 2 are missing the point. There is a Nintendo experience which many people value.

Also, you can't have it both ways -- saying you don't care about sales and then quoting sales.

Also, Mario Kart 22M, NSMB 15M, SSBB 9M, SMG 8M, Zelda 5M, AC almost 4M, SMG2 almost 4M have all sold more than EA Sports Active (3.37M).

Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus have sold gangbusters (22M and 13M) -- Move and Kinect would be fortunate to reach the same peripheral penetration level.

@mike_intellivison  I understand about the Ninty experience. I was only quoting sales to show that Wii Fit sells better than any of Ninty's core titles.  I said I dont care about sales cause I knew someone was going to come and say "but those PS3 games dont sell as much as Wii games" I buy games for me. I dont care what 20mil people buy. I have Wii and outside of Galaxy 2 I dont own any of those games none of them appeal to me
