Forums - Nintendo - Your ideal Zelda game?

Most likely a windwaker styled game with a butt load of new content. like a plane like, some dual blades for link (i love dual blades lol) link has to be lilke 17 and talking. some super hard bosses ( i want my ass whopped). Alot of creative items you know like 30 lol. An engaging story that pulls me into the world and makes me care about link( i have never cared for his well being). The world should be like windwaker but with larger islands and way more stuff to do (f@%k mr. tingle though hes irrelevent). Also why can link only swim in lakes and ponds he drowns in windwakers huge oceans lol. Yeah gimme that.

SHUSH!!! The timeline as it is is more confusing than reading Beowulf in Old English.

lol. hear me out on this one. Skyward Sword is (supposedly) a prequel to OoT. lets say that, at the end of SS, the Ocarina of time is made and the Deku Tree is planted (or other events obviously leading into OoT). but, if you introduce an alternate ending, achieved by a choice made erlier in the game (i dont like the metroid "complete it this fast and with these items" way of doing it) so pivotal, it changes most of the game. this leads to an alternate ending, opening up a whole new time line, seperate from the OoT time line. this means nintendo has a clean slate to create a time-line than can actually be followed.

oh and i think it would be too cool if Link died sometime in the game. possibly sacrificing himself or being dragged to death with ganondorf after the final battle. or (like i said above) the Ganondorf kills Link and Link has escape a "spirit" or Nether" world and find his body.

So now you want to make Half-Life even more confusing too!!!!!

.....um...ok....i guess that was my fault....fixed

(you got me there ^_^)

Majora's Mask

*New* The Legend of Zelda.

Use the *New* tag that was put on to New Super Mario Bros and make a *New* Legend of Zelda that mimics the gameplay style of the original NES version. Top-down, arcade style, new enemies, new power-ups, puzzle and story-free. Maybe add some multiplayer.

As an experiment to see whether the demand exists this is a good idea. Then if/when it sells great, greenlight a full new game on the home console in that style. LIke NSMB DS caused NSMB Wii to be created, and the latter feels like a full new Mario game.

Something like Majora's Mask in terms of atmosphere (impending doomz) but I want more dongeons! I can't get enough of them... I mean take example of ALttP. There was so many of them (12, if I recall correctly, 4 in light world and 8 in dark world).

Oh and speaking of ALttP, I want bosses to be kind of like in that game. They could seriously kick your butt, you lose quite a few hearts when hit and they take more than just 3 hits to die! I want to really think of the best way to defeat them, along with using the dongeon weapon. The weapon found should be used not only creatively in the dongeon but also outside of it. Give them more purpose than just in one area.

I think Twilight Princess had some of the best characters and story (sorry people but I love those two elements) and although my favourite Ganondorf was WW, I found OoT's Ganon more imposing and threatening. It was huge and hitting so hard destroying everything in its path, you could only see glimpes of it when the lightening was hitting and it had red glowy eyes... I remember being so nervous fighting it. I just wish it was somewhat harder to beat. WW pupets (wtf) don't do it for me, nor does the warping boar of TP.

I'd love to see magic items come back. ALttP had so many of them, even though you didn't need them all, they were fun to discover and mostly, to use.

And finally not so importantly, the character design should be like TP but with a different art style. I like realistic graphics but something that stands out is more likely to look nice for a long time. As long as the characters don't go WW pumpkin heads (creepy) I don't have a problem with it.

OoT is pretty much the perfect Zelda game.

What I HATE about some of the new Zelda games is Cel-Shading.

I don't hate Cel-Shading itself, but... I seriously don't want it in a Zelda game...
Also, I really can't stand the ideas like the train in Spirit Tracks.

But a perfect Zelda game would be something like this:

1) NO Cel-Shading and voice-acting, not even the NPCs.
2) Nothing like a train or something like that.
3) More dungeons
4) Huge overworld with many sidequest
5) I want to be pressed for time. Something like the moon in MM was great.
6) Give back the ocarina and the songs.

I also wouldn't mind an experiment in Zelda wherein the game has the absolute minimum amount of text possible, ala Metroid Prime - but, like Metroid Prime, it would still have stuff you could read if you wanted to.
