Move is that thing that looks just like the wiimote isn't it?

Is it new or something?

I'll be better with a Wii, people say it is amazing... since 2006!

Tough decision.

I definitely consider Move to be the best of the three motion control system systems and I also think the PS3 has the best hardware, but I might still choose the Wii simply because right know it still has the most games I'm really interested in.

I'll pick the Wii since I actually know that the controls work and work well.  The other two have yet to prove this.

Also, theres the fact that they come with the system.

Also, there's an existing library of great games already on the Wii.

If I was starting out fresh, I would still go for the PlayStation move

Nothing against 360 or anything, but I think they need to put more videos out on their technology not just promo videos. I don't see much games on it, except for the dance game they show all the time, and of course the kinect sports game. Honestly I still have no ideal how its supposed to really work with actual games. I don't know how they are going to get people to pay their motion system when no one has even seen an honest opinion on it.

The thing I liked about the ps3 move, was that they sent out systems to people early, so you can hear honest feedback and watch for yourself on how the game works. They definitely have a lot of games lined up, just go to the wiki page or iwaggle for the complete list, its closing in on about 70 games and it hasn't even released yet. I've read the ps3 blog sites , awesome FAQ there btw on all the questions, and iwaggle has pretty good vids and info, also on the lighting worrisome people had, the thing is when you calibrate the system the eye automatically adjusts to your lighting, and you can sit down and play. I just read a lot of blogs and watched a lot of videos, before I made the purchase.

The wii, I was personally going to buy b/c I thought it would be fun, but when I heard ps3 was coming out with a motion controller, I decided to wait to see how much it would cost.

I would go with the Wii simply because they have the most games I would be interested in that used motion controls.

i skimmed through the thread, but since i do not own any current-gen consoles. if i had to choose it would be the wii. just for the simple fact its been on the market longer, it came with motions controls from default and not add-on like kinect and playstation move.

both of those add-ons (kinect & move) seem like they have potential but we have to see if the casual market would jump on to both of those. the ads are out and ps move ads are really good! i haven't seen any kinect ads on the tv yet.

but i'm looking to purchasing a wii, now that i know a revamped goldeneye is releasing and beings as though motion controls are added just makes that game more value!

The Wii, due to the fact it has almost 4 years worth of awesome games

If motion controls was my most important criteria by a wide margin I'd have to go with Wii as being the least expensive entree into motion controlled gaming. Move might have the technical edge over WM but it doesn't have $150 worth of technical edge. And even though it seems rather trite and aping a KB Move commercial I really do value having something in my hands, and I still want to be able to use buttons while I wave my arms about, so Kinect is really my third choice when it comes to motion control gaming setup.

And then there's the library of motion control games on Wii.

I wonder how many people are chosing a motion control option that is not actually their most preferred console. At a glance it looks like most people are breaking along party lines. Of course given I'm going for Wii for Wii myself while being a PS3 only owner I agree with the Wii fans who are toeing the party line on this one.

When I first looked at this, I thought "Huh, this is interesting, it'd be a tough decision." But now I've thought about it, I'd get the Wii over Kinect/Move for a few reasons.

Price: I'm a student with no part time job, and price is an important factor. You can get Wii for as little as £130 (Motion plus bundle) with another game-I've even seen it bundled with stuff like Brawl or NSMB Wii at that price. If I wasn't already a Wii owner, one of those bundles would be damn good value compared to the entry price for Move/Kinect with their respective console.

Available Software: The Wii has built up a strong library that has a number of titles that appeal to me-as far as I'm concerned, this is another big advantage over Move/Kinect. Wii has established games that utilise its motion control, and with the two Galaxy games, the various Metroid titles,  the No More Heroes games, ports like Twilight Princess, Okami and Resident Evil 4, Little King's Story, Mario Kart Wii, WarioWare, there's a library of great games available that use motion and pointer control to varying degrees. Which leads me on to...

Future Software: This is where Move became a little more appealing, as Sony seem to be doing their best to compile a balanced line up, but there are no must haves for me there. Kinect really turns me off at this point-I may have enjoyed the Wii series of games somewhat, but stuff like Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals and now even Brain Training have me thinking this is a Wii-Too software library using ideas that are up to 5 years old, and dressing them in something a little new. There isn't anything that appeals to me as a long time, solitary gamer. However, on Wii, there's the more balanced upcoming line up of Donkey Kong, Epic Mickey, Skyward Sword (which is Motion Plus heavy), Kirby and there's the surprisingly good looking Wii Party if I want a social game.

The fact is, Wii is a motion control machine from the get go, and Kinect and Move are going to be playing catch up for some time. The way I see it, the Wii has too many advantages in price and software for the other two to be viable options to me if I were in the market for a new console.
