It's a special limited edition bundle that they're only making a certain number of. Based on the fact that they made 200k Lightning and GT5P bundles I'm assuming that's how many they're producing in this case as well.

That's stupid. They should make as many as they have pre-orders for to move the most HW.

Oh well then....Halo gets the bigger initial hardware boost. It comes with a Silver 360 that makes grunt noises.. 360 is also massivly popular in americas, the biggest of the 3 gaming regions.

So really I think it'll be close.  I still don't think GT5 will be as big as older versions of the game.

The flagship of driving games for the PS3 has not shown up yet, while there have been multiple Halos plus gears.  Because of this, I would expect a bigger bump from GT5 than Reach, but I don't expect huge bumps with legs, because things are at least midway in system lives.

      I've been reading alot of posts saying Reach HW boost will own next week, bye bye Wii being on top and PS3 is doomed even some gifs of it too.  I've also made a few GT5 threads here on VGChartz all with many posts saying that we shouldnt expect alot from GT5.  I believe though that Reach will cause a massive spike for 360s HW but it won't be as massive as PS3's spike when GT5 releases.

So will 360 HW on Reach release be greater than PS3 HW on GT5 week?

Well mathmatically,  there are more 360 console owners out there, so percentage wise PS3 has an advantage if you say "Who get the bigger boost percentage-wise"  ....

If you say who gets a bigger boost in actual console numbers then its 360.. Halo Reach  doubled 360 console sales in UK alone from 50k's to near 100k !!  So even though 360  had a 100% boost in the UK week one for Halo Reach, they won't in the USA because 360 is TEN MILLION CONSLES AHEAD of PS3 already.. so the percentage in the USA will be lower, but the actual consoles pushed by Halo Reach will be higher then GT5 ..

Im anxious to see final results, but Im WAGERING GT5 will do millions less then Reach ( for a whole weeks sale ).. COD MW2 being #1 on PS3 and 360 has already shown that FPS's are taking over and thats what young people want.. the original PS1 crowd is in their late 30's now.. its time for Sony to make games that push sales along the youngest ( Like MS is ) that will drive them to not only buy a console today, but the next Gen console..

 Exactly what I was thinking. I think PS3 will sell more in Nov than 360 on Sept even with no GT5, because that's the month of holiday shopping.

reach did 120k over last week about 100k over previous weeks

To clarify my previous statement there actually has been a GT5 bundle announced for Europe. Still no blue console yet unfortunately.

And I still stand by my previous statement. The week-on-week increase for PS3 in Japan alone on GT5 week will be bigger than the WOW increase for Reach WW. And you won't be able to say that it was part of normal holiday increases since sales in Japan don't see any noticeable holiday boosts until late November.

I agree, 4 million is Forza Motorsport sales, and just baised on brand name alone, GT should sell better. I personally think 8.5 million, but you never know. I really doubt anything lower then 6 million, and anything higher then 10 million.
