Just going by the data at VGchartz.com the 360 has sold 150 MILLION More games -worldwide then the PS3 - ( what I meant above.. )

Where do you see that 360 has sold 150 million more games than PS3? Because the worldwide weekly charts says it's under 110 million

That's still a significant amount.

And from what we've seen, the 360 sells a lot more games digital downloads than PSN as well.

I blame Japan. Sony has a huge lead there, but they have the worst attach rates.

All of the 360's software leads comes from America.

Well its where they have a huuuuuuuge lead.

America also has the best attach rates for both PS3 and 360.

No argument there i know 360 has sold more software i was just curious where he found a 40 million discrepancy

Because this sites numbers haven't really added up right since 3.0 for example the software totals page has different number for games sold and attach ratios for each region and worldwide compared to the weekly charts

GT5 launches in November, where consoles are seeing week on week rises rather than static sales.

So for that reason alone, the bump will be bigger for GT5 week, unfortunately for you, you won't be able to tell how much of that bump is actually tied to GT5

Ok, Seece beat me to it.  Really makes this all null and void.

I know Gran turismo series is huge for the playstation brand, But I think it's not gonna have such a huge impact like it did in the past. The racing genre is dying out. I don't expect this to sell no more than 4 million life time worldwide. and have maybe slight higher hw boost, I doubt there are gamers out there waiting to throw down 300 bucks or more for GT5

In NA Reach moves more consoles than GT5 BY MILES.

In EMEAA GT5 moves much more hardware than Reach

So really I think it'll be close.  I still don't think GT5 will be as big as older versions of the game.

The flagship of driving games for the PS3 has not shown up yet, while there have been multiple Halos plus gears.  Because of this, I would expect a bigger bump from GT5 than Reach, but I don't expect huge bumps with legs, because things are at least midway in system lives.

I think both will do equal. but in the end i think 360 will sell the most hardware with kinect halo reach.

Because it is, there's only a few good racing titles out there anymore worth purchasing. plus the total units sold on popular racing titles get's lower and lower with every sequel ect... . FPS are dominating the market right now. Unless a developer adds somthing fresh to to racing genre it's on a def. down spiral

GT5 Prologue.

if you only want to count full games then there has only been 1 halo on the 360 and that was 3 years ago.
