Forums - General - Where were you September 11th 2001?

i was sleeping, when i woke up, i saw the 1st tower being hit...even if i'm from another country, and even if i was only 9 years old back then, i felt so bad, i dreamed one day to be there, and they're gone now...it was like being hit by a car...

4th grade.

Sitting near the window and they told us something terrible happened over the intercom (plane crashed into a building). Everyone was taken hom and I saw on TV the aftermath of the 2nd plane's crash. I remember everything being silent and the adults being scared.

In the newspaper, everyone was wondering who did it and what the hell happened. Being 9, I had no clue...My neighbor got fired from the World Trade Center 2 weeks before too. Unbelievable event. Weird part about it was that Americans were actually friendly for a long while.

Double post:

I went to New York in Nov. 2001, a few months afterwards. Took the train and ended up in Grand Central.

It was like...there were thousands of people...but it was real quiet. The City that Never Sleeps was half-awake.

I was in forth grade. It didn't really matter to me, I was just glad we were watching tv instead of doing schoolwork.

that was before i was born, so i guess in my mom's stomach

I was playing badminton in the afternoon, and I saw the news on the TV in the cantina of the gym. That's all I remember really...

I was asleep, because it was about 6AM local time when the first plane hit. My mother-in-law called, and damn if I didn't see the second plane slamming into the 2nd tower live on TV. I thought it was something surreal.

I was slightly later than ususal getting to work.

I had just come home from school and was at my grandmothers house eating dinner when my aunt called and said two planes had crashed into the twin towers. I went home after that and spent the rest of the day watching the news. I remember that day like it was yesterday

I'm in the same postion I was back then. Still thinking about how my life went wrong. I'm just older and more bitter, that's the only difference. lol
